Story
With a new job I didn’t apply for and an extended family I didn’t know I had - midlife has become somewhat problematic. Gluing ghosts back together is easy compared to my new celestial occupation. The Grim Reaper wants to put a ring on it. Tim wants to be a father. Candy Vargo has lost her damn mind, and Jennifer thinks we’re all sparkly vampires. I’ve been given an impossible task with catastrophic consequences for failure, but it wouldn’t be my midlife without another crisis.

I’m so hooked
Reviewed: 07-13-23
I love all the characters and their craziness. Enjoying their quirks of being southern and the humor that makes me laugh out loud. “Well, slap me with butter and call me a biscuit” to Weird Gross facts as a party game is hilarious. And book 6 of this series still has me hooked. Ready to jump into book 7.

I really like these characters and their adventures. The murders are different and keep me guessing and second guessing. Each lead character has flaws/quirks and different ways of looking at the murder that make it interesting. Look forward to next book in this series!

I’m a big Molly Harper fan. I Have enjoyed her other series a lot. This one is missing something. There’s some snarky humor but I didn’t feel drawn in to the characters and the conflicts they faced felt weak. This was more of a setting the stage story. Hopeful the next in the series will be better.

Enjoyed the feisty governess and self confident Lord talks. She often got the best of him and turned him around. Add in a orphan child and a sharp witted grandfather for fun times. The past secrets and parents examples have left their marks on the lead pair leaving nearly too many obstacles to overcome.

I’ve enjoyed all the books in this series. And even though I’d suspected the “ who” in the “who dun it” I didn’t know the why. Surprised with ending. I was kinda hoping for the other man in her life to be “dream man” but it’s all good. No spoilers revealed I hope.

Unraveling mysteries across time
Reviewed: 08-16-20
I’d just listened to this author’s book “forgotten garden” and had to find another of her books. This book did not disappoint! Two mysteries- Cold case of a missing child, current case of abandoned child and missing mother. The weaving of the stories keep you interested. A tidbit here, an insight there, a clue hinted at but no there’s a twist here. Now there’s a turn there. Kept me guessing. And enjoyed the characters and stepping back in time. Will keep this author on my favorite list.

Been enjoying the Sherbrooke family stories for many years. Knew I had to give this a listen. SO Glad I did. Paranormal mysteries are new but the revisiting the ghost of Pearlin’ Jane was like visiting an old friend. Stories were rather quick and to the point. Mysteries rather quickly solved and resolved. Like the quirky characters and the mysteries. Hope to read more as I’d like to know what happens with PC and Barnaby. Who were Barnabys parents? Left some threads dangling...will there be more adventures for Grayson and his “family”? Hope so.

Enjoyed the continuing story of Charlotte Holmes. Really Liked the continuing relationships and the twists and turns that held my interest. Rather surprising back story on my dear Mrs Watson and the sexual tension between Ash and Charolette was very nicely handled. Kept true to their character. Nice to have the sister, Olivia, grow in character in this one. She seemed such a weak sheltered girl before. Anxiously awaiting next one!
