Story
A deadly and unprecedented virus is spreading. But those who survive it experience long-term effects no one has ever seen before: utter contentment. Soon after infection, people find the stress, depression, greed, and other negative feelings that used to weigh them down are gone. More and more people begin to revel in the mass unburdening. But not everyone. People in power—who depend on malcontents and prey on the insecure to sell their products, and convince others they need more, new, faster, better everything—know this new state of being is bad for business.

Interesting premise

An interesting premise reminds me of When The Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi. In terms of the idea of world breaking down due to the lack of concern for tomorrow.
In the words of John Scalzi. when talking his novels Starter Villain, The Kaju Preservation Society, and When The Moon Hits Your Eye "What they do share, however, is a similar conceit of "Everyday people dealing with an extremely high-concept situation, in contemporary settings, - When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi
I do feel like it could've been a stand alone book. Despite that I'm looking forward for the next one. Maybe my opinion will change after the second one. Greg Tremblay and, Neal Shusterman do an amazing job with the narration.

Surprising twist

It did not end the way I thought it would. Definitely took a dark turn that I wasn’t expecting. With a twist I didn’t see coming. I usually see twists, but this one definitely caught me off guard. Narration was amazing.

Story
In 2019, author John Green met Henry Reider, a young tuberculosis patient at Lakka Government Hospital in Sierra Leone. John became fast friends with Henry, a boy with spindly legs and a big, goofy smile. In the years since that first visit to Lakka, Green has become a vocal advocate for increased access to treatment and wider awareness of the healthcare inequities that allow this curable, preventable infectious disease to also be the deadliest, killing over a million people every year. In Everything Is Tuberculosis, John tells Henry’s story.

Emotional

It was hard to finish. Not because of the quality of writing, but the emotional impact. It will have your crying, and mad at the injustice it highlights. Also make you wonder if you have TB that lays in wait. Despite all of that it still end with inspiring hope. The author John Green does a great job narrating.

Great start
Reviewed: 03-10-25
It good start to the series. A bit slow though I mean the tutorial is two books. It’s a great start because if you can’t handle that then you won’t like the Nevermore arc. Overall it has its funny moments , as well as its action packed moments. Travis baldree does an amazing job with the narration especially the vipers voice.
