It was a day like any other when suddenly the world changed. The universe reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A place where power is the only thing anyone can truly rely on.

Story
September, 1940. Three women of the Checquy, the secret organization tasked with protecting Britain from supernatural threats, stand in the sky above London and see German aircraft approach. Forbidden by law to interfere, all they can do is watch as their city is bombed. Until Pamela breaks all the rules and brings down a Nazi bomber with her bare hands. The three resolve to tell no one about it, but they soon learn that a crew member is missing from the downed bomber. Charred corpses are discovered in nearby houses and it becomes apparent that the women have unwittingly unleashed a monster.

Not nearly as good as the first two.
Reviewed: 07-11-24
This was the weakest of the three books. Just trying to hard to match the dynamics of the first 2 books. The characters were less interesting, the plot was very obvious, and the writing was sub par. My recommendation is to skip this one. after the first two amazing books, this will leave you feeling disappointed.

Story
Dr. Tyson Klein is a quantum physicist who has dedicated his entire life to his research. At CERN, he analyses data generated by the Large Hadron Collider, the world's biggest and most powerful particle accelerator. Now, Ty believes he's found a pattern in its output. It looks like an organised data stream, being broadcast over what he calls a quantum radio. Could it be a signal from another universe? A message sent from the future? Or something else entirely?

So very predictable. Same tropes, nothing new.
Reviewed: 09-22-22
As soon as they mentioned the main issue, everything was just predictable and a bit trite. There was a lot of potential for this story, but the author decided to play it safe and ended up with a disappointing whole.

This was two stories, both told horribly.
Reviewed: 05-13-22
First off, there was SO much emphasis placed in the main character's sexually, it started to detract from the story. I'm not adverse to character development, but when it just goes off on a tangent and the main character becomes almost 2 dimensional because of it, it's a little sad. Maybe it was because it was written by a man, but from the perspective of a woman... but there seemed to be a dissociation of character.
You begin to dislike the character, because she's not a person, she's just a self-centered character that is not working for the greater good, any more than any celebrity shill.
By the end of the book, the main character was the least interesting aspect. I expected so much more.
The other thing is the naive way the author portrayed government actions. It just made the whole book seem like a bad YA book... and I like YA books.
Overall, I would say it has missed its mark, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This is the second book in the series and I STILL have NO idea what's going on. The cutaway scenes are just confusing. The character building it tedious and I'm glad this series is free, or I would be returning it. There is a confusing magic system, and and I'm just not sure what the point of the book is. Sorry, this is just not for me.
