Dan Stevens does an excellent job at narrating the various characters and giving life to the story. Overall it is a classic mystery novel that leaves you guessing to the very end. Enjoyable read :)

If you’re a fan, come on in, the water is fine. If you don’t know who Tom Segura is; maybe watch some of his stand up first, then come on in.

I consume a lot of audio books. I have never enjoyed a new sci-fi series more since John Ringo’s Hot Gate. Please give these books a read because I want more. Lots more. Now.

Okay, disclaimer. I have been waiting for this book for a long time. Ever since I finished Ready Player One. I was hoping it would recapture the magic of Cline's first book and in many ways it did. However unlike RPO this book chooses to tackle a walking science fiction cliché: The Alien Invasion. As much as I love the homages to geek culture Cline's second novel doesn't pull off the originality need to make it as magical as RPO. I'm afraid anyone reading Armada who is not a GenX geek like myself with find it fatally cliché. Still I loved it, flaws and all but hope future novels by Cline learn from its mistakes.

If you are looking for high art go else where, if you are looking to have fun read to distract you from life, Dust Wold hits the spot. This is Larson's second book in the Undying Mercenaries series and if you are looking for a great, fast paced, military sci-fi romp Dust World is EXACTLY what you need. Highly imaginative and as addicting as crystal meth. I was hooked at Steel World and now I'm reading everything I can from the author whose star is rising. Read (or in my case listen) and spread the word.
