Holy cow! I love these books.

I consume a lot of audio books. I have never enjoyed a new sci-fi series more since John Ringo’s Hot Gate. Please give these books a read because I want more. Lots more. Now.

Epic beyond compare

Not sure how he did it but this book was better than the last! Onward and upward. I am quivering with expectations and excitement for the next book. Is it done yet?!!! Some one really needs to make a movie out of this!!!!

Aliens, mechs, sex bots, what's not to love?

Aliens, mechs, sex bots, what’s not to love?

Defiance ended with gladiator mech pilot Jessica Kramer overcoming her own self-destructive urges (well some of them anyway) as well as a conspiracy by the corrupt Gatekeepers who rule over the hub dimension of Junctionworld, who had schemed to affect her defeat and death in the ring as punishment for her father daring to beat the Gatelord bureaucrats at their own game and win freedom for himself and his family.

Now a celebrity, Jessica embarks on her next mission: to leave Junctionworld and search out her older sister, taking shelter with her husband in a camp of alien refugees. But there are worse dangers that the Gatekeepers, and some have targeted the refugees for nefarious ends.

Accompanied by an unlikely partner – a sex bot turned mech fighter – Jessica must go into battle, and meanwhile, the flames of rebellion grow on Junctionworld as resentment and defiance of the Gatekeepers grown among even their most well-programmed underlings.

The character of Jessica Kramer herself is the most entertaining to follow. Again the author strikes the balance between abrasive and vulnerable that makes for a likeable character you want to succeed.

Funny, fast-paced and packed with mech fighting action, not a story to be missed, and the audio production is again flawless.

Does not disappoint.

The world building! What Bear Ross does here is amazing. Definitely one of my favorite SciFi series in a while. Fast paced, smooth, easy to follow, and fun.

Mechs, revenge and family

The gorgeous yet headache-inducing Jessica Kramer is often her own worst enemy, but wants to make amends. For once, it won't be just her survival on the line. She's determined to rescue her estranged sister locked behind an inter dimensional gate. What she finds there won't make her happy. Strap in and heat up those thruster pods for heart-pounding mech action set against a very human story of love, intrigue and family.

Mechanic haven

If you like mecha, this is a story story for you as the main character is a mech head and definitely a woman who goes her own way
