Thank you Colleen for this wonderful book. It makes me remember that even when things don’t go the way we want, or plan, Gods plan is so much bigger and can be greater then we could ever imagine.

Story
Margo Everson sees the call out for the cookbook club and knows she’s found her people. Recently dumped by her self-absorbed husband, who frankly isn’t much of a loss, she has little to show for her marriage but his "parting gift"—a dilapidated old farm house—and a collection of well-loved cookbooks. Aja Alexander just hopes her newfound friends won’t notice that that every time she looks at food, she gets queasy. It’s hard hiding a pregnancy, especially one she can’t bring herself to share with her wealthy boyfriend and his snooty mother.

This was just the kind of book I needed. Realistic, heartfelt, funny, and with the right amount of romance. I think all it was missing was a dog. But I think it describes what a lot of people need, especially during hard times, and I enjoyed it very much.

Story
Mary Alice Brannigan doesn’t believe in the supernatural. Nor does she expect to find that Dreamland, the decaying amusement park she’s been hired to restore, is a prison for the five Untouchables, the most powerful demons in the history of the world. Plus, there’s a guy she’s falling hard for, and there’s something about him that’s not quite right.

It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

I thought it was very moving and sweet. I like that there’s a bit of a 180. With the man being all sensitive and Sweet. And the woman’s the total fierce and mighty warrior. I myself do prefer a guy with some backbone. But there’s nothing wrong with him having a soft side. There’s a lot of women in the world, I’d like to think of myself as one of them, who are forced to find ways to take care of themselves and a lot of men don’t care for that. Which is a shame in my mind. I like that in this book, he isn’t like that at all. He understands her need to be tough.

Story
Witt's End is in trouble. The small town of artists is at risk of disappearing from the map if Serenity Makepeace can't expand her small grocery store into a mail order enterprise to sell her neighbors' handcrafted goods. High-priced start-up advisor Caleb Ventress was intrigued by Serenity's impassioned letter. A small town grocer wasn't high profile enough for him, but her request earned her a meeting. And Calebs' attraction to her earned her a few more.

I love the artistic characters in this story. From the talents, to the personalities. The town is the perfect example of how our differences should make us stronger together. Not keep us apart. I prefer more romance books not ending with the heroine pregnant or planning to be, but I didn’t right the book. It was a good read. 😊 I highly recommend it.

Story
Nestled in the mountain shadows of Alabama lies the little town of Wicklow. It is here that Anna Kate has returned to bury her beloved Granny Zee, owner of the Blackbird Café. It was supposed to be a quick trip to close the café and settle her grandmother’s estate, but despite her best intentions to avoid forming ties or even getting to know her father’s side of the family, Anna Kate finds herself inexplicably drawn to the quirky Southern town her mother ran away from so many years ago, and the mysterious blackbird pie everybody can’t stop talking about.

I love books with more than one narrator. This story is one of the most heartwarming I’ve ever heard. Yes, life happens. There’s no stopping it, and we need to go on with our lives but sometimes we need a little help. And always make time to help others. Weather it’s with $, food, smiles, or love.

Entertaining the entire time. Funny, exciting, the flamingos were a nice touch. Made the story all the more unique. I also like that families can be formed in the most unique of ways. People don’t write like that enough. I highly recommend. Especially on a really boring and gloomy day at home, cleaning.

I love with the book represents. There’s so many people out there who think they need to fix us or change us. It’s hard to find people who accept us for who and what we are. I suppose we’re all guilty of making that mistake sometimes.

Tess Newhart knows her ex-boyfriend, Nick Jamieson, isn't the right guy for her. He's caviar and champagne; she's take-out Chinese pot stickers. He's an uptight Republican lawyer; she was raised in a commune and thinks Cinderella is politically incorrect. He wants to get ahead in business; she just wants him - only not the social-climbing Nick, but the sweet, caring, unbuttoned-down Nick.

There is a lot of funny stuff in this book. It keeps you entertained the whole way. You never want to stop listening. And the ending is good. But it’s that kind of book that reminds me why I don’t really pay attention to politics. Also why I don’t tell people about my life philosophy without really getting to know them first. Obviously, all of this was to keep the book entertaining. Which I can understand. I think as long as we don’t judge or criticize, or throw advice, lightly, we should never feel ashamed for who we are or what we believe in. Our differences are what should make us stronger. Not constantly look for ways to change other people. But all in all it is a good book. If you like Jennifer Crusie, then I highly recommend this book.
