Story
How can we live our lives when everything seems to fall apart—when we are continually overcome by fear, anxiety, and pain? The answer, Pema Chödrön suggests, might be just the opposite of what you expect. Here, in her most beloved and acclaimed work, Pema shows that moving toward painful situations and becoming intimate with them can open up our hearts in ways we never before imagined. Drawing from traditional Buddhist wisdom, she offers life-changing tools for transforming suffering and negative patterns into habitual ease and boundless joy.

Brene Brown’s book brings a powerful message on vulnerability and authenticity, however her “vocal fry” style is too distracting to me. I would have probably enjoyed more the written version.

Great guide to re establish your natural cycles
Reviewed: 03-31-23
I have been listening to this audiobook for a few weeks now, and following it’s guidelines as much as I can. (It’s not easy to implement all the steps at once)
I can already feel more energy and vitality and I naturally lost 2 pounds without changing much in my diet, just in the time of the day that I have my meals.
I still don’t know how I will ever be able to not have bread, pasta or pizza in the evening, as this is part of my social life every now and then.
I truly believe that nutrition also comes from your interaction with other people, and most people I know still gather around a table full of food and wine. I’ll have to figure that out…

Michael Singer shows us how we can let go of ourselves in order to serve. The workplace is not a place for you to get something or to get rid of something, but to serve. This is a practice, it makes so much sense and I hope I can put it into practice even with the most difficult situations and people life presents…

Too much data, not enough solutions. Tells too much about the author’s trajectory and experience, as well about scientific experiments and data. Lacks practical ways of getting out of the addictive behaviors.
