Funny story

I enjoyed this book. I laughed out loud several times! I loved that the female character was so fiesty! She was not having it and gave Alister the business! Cute love story with a happy ending. The premise of the story was a little far fetched but the author did a good job making it work

Loved narrator Jacobi Diem. He does excellent job with multiple voices and with emotion.
Good story line. The men were very masculine but had soft side also. Lots of characters with interesting lives. Kept me interested . I think this book is my favorite out of the series. So many different lives and how they intersect

Story
Zany and vivacious Nissi Richards always had her sights set on one goal—her career. As the youngest doctor at Optimal Dentistry, Nissi is the epitome of Black Girl Magic and a #GoalCrusher. Dating, however, was a different topic, or rather more of a non-existent headline. Despite her best friend's botched matchmaking attempts and her meddlesome sisters who insist she hook a man, love and marriage were never on Nissi's to-do list—at least not that she'd admit.

This is a good love story, I really enjoyed it. My favorite narrator Jacobi Diem was great! He brings good emotion to characters, when there are other characters he gives them a distinctive voice, he does a great female voice.... I love listening to his voice. Then there is my favorite female narrator Wesleigh Siobhan! She is always great, good emotion, good with multiple voices and does a good male voice! They both tried to put in a little NOLA accent for main character! In this story they brought in characters from previous books! It was a really nice surprise

Story
Publicly humiliated, Marisa Banks is blindsided by the news that the man she's been dating for months is married. Being called names she wouldn't wish on anyone in front of a room full of people by her boyfriend's wife is enough to shake her identity to its foundations. In an attempt to rebuild, she makes a few questionable decisions. Asher Blaine is one of them. He's intelligent and sexy, but the pedestal he's got himself up on is unshakeable. Or so he thinks. Marisa asks for the one thing he can't deny her, even if it's the craziest thing he's ever done.

I enjoyed this love story and loved the characters and there was some comedy! The male narrator Winston James was great as always. He brings emotion to his characters, he does a good female voice and he does a good kid voice. His one negative is you hear him swallow. You think he has alot of spit in his mouth but his speech is always clear and on point when he reads. Other than that he is a favorite narrator for me. Now the female narrators voice did not fit this book. When she did the male voice or voice of her female friends it was terrible but she does read well I juar didnt like her for this book.

I had to return this one. could not finish it. The story does too much. I like stories in which the scenarios are actually possible. The male character is in jail and can get out to go to a hotel! The female character is giving him information about her family after she was specifically told not to. Why? The story starts out really interesting then goes to far for me. Also I dont like the female narrator for this story especially when she does the male voice.

Love both narrators and the story. Good love story. Takes its time to develop the characters and their relationship. Easy to listen to. Doesn’t have dramatic highs or lows. there is some grief, loss of a parent which hit close to home for me, had to take a break from listening at times.

Story
From the moment his eyes met hers, there was something. Time stood still, the world around them vanished, and electricity... instant electricity. Immediately, she owned him in an inexplicable way he couldn’t quite understand. He couldn't escape her. Not in his dreams. And soon, not even in his reality. He was the man that made her soar. There was nothing in the world she wanted more than him. Absolutely nothing. His touch made her levitate. When she was with him, she was limitless. He felt like home.
