But now, the allies are closing in and the sisters have one last hurdle to face: the death march from Auschwitz, as the Nazis try to erase any evidence of the prisoners held there. I love that the story included their lives beyond surviving the Holocaust. As did the bond between these sisters

Thoroughly researched

I learned so much about the French revolution in both world wars in this novel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. my only negative comment is that I wasn’t crazy about the narrator for Beatrice. She seemed to me to be consistently overdramatic. If you enjoy historical fiction, you should definitely give this one a listen.

Best book on Nazi Germany I've read thus far!
Reviewed: 04-15-21
this is the first book I've read by this author and I will definitely seek out everything else that she has written. She truly made the characters come alive. I learned so many things about the Nazi movement that I had never learned before. The narrator was excellent!
