Francine Rivers, a winner of the ECPA Gold Medallion, is a best-selling author of Christian fiction. A Voice in the Wind takes listeners into a richly imagined ancient Rome in the midst of its great decline. This heart-stirring tale of a young slave girl, torn between her love for a handsome aristocrat and her faith in God, transcends genres with its awe-inspiring power and emotional intensity.

Very Conservative Christian.Would you ever listen to anything by Francine Rivers again?
probably notAny additional comments?
I bought this book (and its sequels) because other reviews said that it was well written, Christian literature or not. However, if you took the christianity out of the story, the book would be about 20 pages long. There is no version of this story without prostelitizing, and the sequel was worse.Well written, but very Godly

what it carries and how it carries the load is what makes it hit so hard.
You may think that one paragraph is just a simple statement or that it is just portraying a certain picture, but it is a many - layered thing.
To take a line from a certain well-know writer/movie..." one does not simply walk into Mordor", likewise, one does not simply leave the way they came after meeting Hadassah...now, on to book two - I must find out what the hell is going on as heaven nears!
Damn, I felt that!
