Kristen Hannah does it again! Her characters are always incredible, but what I learned through her historical fiction is always amazing! I loved this new take on a woman’s perspective from the Vietnam war experience. She obviously had a great handle on the time and the geography involved, as well as, details of what veterans faced. Julia Whelan is always awesome and I am in love with her voice! I always worry that Kristin Hannah‘s books will make me cry uncontrollably, but this one only made me weep a little ha ha. Worth it to experience this. Incredible story!

Javier has great recall and shared a colorful perspective from a 9-year-old mind. So sad yet triumphant. Beautifully written.

Emily Henry is one of my new favorite authors because of this book! Her witty descriptions and dialogue had me laughing out loud. I want to say so much but it would give things away. I’ll just say that her writing is smart and fresh and I can’t wait to read more. Julia Whelan continues to be the best narrator around too!!

I knew the content was sad but it also said triumphant - I didn’t feel it. Maybe I’m insensitive to addiction but this story did a lot to justify it. I was waiting for a feeling of redemption that never came

Hands down the best audiobook I’ve ever heard! Will Smith not only tells his stories in his classic entertaining fashion, but he infuses humor and music in an awesomely creative way. I laughed, I cried, I felt nostalgia throughout as he told of moments from his perspective that I could remember enjoying as a fan. His vulnerable look at himself was told in a way that allowed the reader to apply his insight to their own lives. He was careful to not sound arrogant in the process as it could have easily gone that way and also showed awareness of the power of his influence. I applaud Will for upholding a sense of standards throughout his career. I feel honored to have shared in these experiences from the audience side of things. Thank you for your art and this incredibly touching book!!! 😊❤️
PS - Jada was right about the moment she met GG not being funny 😊

I laughed, I cried, I reveled in the 80s reliving some great memories and sharing new ones living vicariously through Richard Blade. Growing up in So Cal in the 80s made it especially touching and familiar. Thank you for sharing your well-written and unique perspective Richard!

I’m not even really a big basketball fan, but I love this story! I loved the tie in to real history of refugees. However, Dion Graham took this story to another level! His smooth voice, various accents and emotion conveyed through narration is unparalleled! I was so enamored with the narration I looked him up and realized I had listened to another of his audiobooks, “Concrete Rose” where I also remember loving his voice. Talented writer in Grisham and talented narration in Graham makes this book a must listen!

I know I will always love the journey John Green takes his readers on, but another wonderful benefit is his works on audible are often narrated by the most talented people. Wonderful speaking and singing voice with accents that helped immensely in further defining the characters. I’m sure this is due in part to the production as well 👏🏻

I generally like Ellen, but this was horrible... a waste of time and money. Very little comedic value and her frivolous chit-chat tone was pure stupidity. I don't like to write bad reviews, but feel I owe it to the next person considering this purchase. I wish the reviews I'd read had warned me.
