Playing WH40K battlesector turned me to this book, it was actually really awesome and I wish the game was just as gritty and detailed. Definitely made me a Blood Angel's fan. and yes the 30th chapter is in this version at the time of this review.

While the Ultramarines and Bobby G aren't my favorite chapter, it still was an entertaining and cool story. The Death Guard scenes are really cool and the detail is always interesting. I just found it laughable that the final assault happened the way it did. but hey, Space Marines disregarding obvious tactical errors.

This was my first book on Cain and I initially took it too seriously. I ended up enjoying it really well.

I wasn't sure about getting the first book in the series just because I didn't know if it was boring and actually it makes me want to take on the whole series. Dan Abnett does a great job and it's hard not to love every character except Erebus.

I've been taking a break from full on Astartes based stuff, it was not a bad choice to go for this book. it almost felt too short but luckily there are others in the series.

One of my favorites for sure, an awesome tale of the war against the Arch Enemy and interesting characters. An absolute Warhammer novel.

I know all 5 stars seems exaggerated but I absolutely love the Night Lord Trilogy, with this book being as great as the first. I can start the third and the only thing I have to say is that the Night Lords really are one of the best Factions in the Warhammer Universe.

I honestly never use to care for the traitor legion side of the universe, always feeling like they were just typical bad guys but after starting the Night Lords trilogy, I was wrong. Aaron DB did fantastic giving the characters such depth and I'm on Blood Reaver right now which is the 2nd book. Night Lords definitely became my favorite Chaos faction after this.
