I’m glad that Kel Kade has published another book in this series. I was getting worried that he wasn’t going to. These characters are so well developed that I would listen to a story with them doing nothing more than having breakfast! That this is another good story was a bonus. I look forward to the next one.

Story
All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world. Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

I listened to all fourteen Wandering Inn books, which were so good that there were times when I couldn’t put them down for hours because I had to hear the end of the scene or the book. I’m not into the darkness of the undead, and thought about stopping the book, but thankfully I didn’t. At about eight hours into it I was so engrossed in the story that I listened non-stop to the end. Pirateaba’s writing and Pasneau’s reading and voice are as superb in this new series as they were in the last series.

Story
Of course, if there were only one thing under Liscor, there would be far less to fear. However, the dungeon continues to be a threat. At the same time, Goblins continue to roam northern Izril, but not all of them are as hostile to people as Tremborag or the Goblin Lord. Will the Unseen Emperor of Riverfarm make that distinction, however? A reckoning is coming as old faces and new reemerge. And all the while, The Wandering Inn is still serving food and respite and even plays to adventurers and Antinium alike. But something is coming from the dungeons. And it—they—are hungry.

I’m so glad I started this series!
Reviewed: 07-23-24
For 50 years I have been a hard core sci-fi reader. I started in 1971 with Tolkien at 13 years old, read it six times by age 17, and have never stopped reading since. I almost didn’t read this series because it sounded childish, and I worried it would be a never ending un-dead war. I’m so glad that I tried the series, and the first eight books have been complete 5 star audio books in every way.

Story
An inn is a place to rest, a place to talk and share stories, a place to find adventure, or a starting ground for quests and legends. It is in this world, at least. To Erin Solstice, an inn seems like a medieval relic from the past. But here she is, running from Goblins and trying to survive in a world full of monsters and magic. She’d be more excited about all of this if everything wasn’t trying to kill her. But an inn is what she’s found, and so that’s what she becomes; an innkeeper, who serves drinks to heroes and monsters. Mostly monsters. But it’s a living, right?

There was the beginning of the book that I barely made it through, then found part of the book disgusting, yet the author is so good that I've overcome these challenges and have become a die hard fan of this author and her world. You will gain so much by sticking with is author, she is an outstanding and fresh, and major talent.

The man who became known as Esrahaddon is reported to have destroyed the world’s greatest empire—but there are those who believe he saved it. Few individuals are as divisive, but all agree on three facts: He was exiled to the wilderness, hunted by a goblin priestess, and sentenced to death by a god—all before the age of eight. How he managed to survive and why people continued to fear his name a thousand years later has always been a mystery...until now.

Story
The Catenan Republic—the Hierarchy—may rule the world now, but they do not know everything. I tell them my name is Vis Telimus. I tell them I was orphaned after a tragic accident three years ago, and that good fortune alone has led to my acceptance into their most prestigious school. I tell them that once I graduate, I will gladly join the rest of civilized society in allowing my strength, my drive, and my focus—what they call Will—to be leeched away and added to the power of those above me, as millions already do. As all must eventually do.
