The White Tree (book one): In Mallon the dark magic of the nether has been banned for centuries. Its users have been driven out or killed. Its secrets lost. But the holy book of the nethermancers has just been found by a boy named Dante. As he works to unlock the book's power, he's attacked in the street. The nethermancers aren't gone—and they want their book back. Caught between death cultists and the law, Dante fights for his life, aided by his growing skills and a brash bodyguard named Blays.

Well done story
Reviewed: 09-30-23
The story was very well written with lots of turns and twists. There was almost continuous action. There were many interesting characters. It was mildly on the dark side. It had an exploration of many of man’s moral dilemmas hidden throughout.

Story
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Fun story, well done
Reviewed: 03-23-23
This book was written in a RAW style and is not polished. That having been said it is very imaginative. It is a fun read. It’s simplicity and positive tone made it an ideal way to spend my free time. Instead of being completely polished and edited, it comes across like a story an old friend might tell over a campfire after fishing. I could not give it a higher recommendation. Craig.

Just the book you want to read or listen to
Reviewed: 03-20-23
This is a lighthearted, uplifting, fantasy tale. It is well written and performed. In today’s world, with all the negativity, it is nice to have a fun positive tale to listen to. I have been turned off by so many fantasy tales emphasizing the dark side of life. I tend to be a tough critic, but this was just what I was looking for. I highly recommend it. Craig.
