About this listen

Contains Legion (book nine) and Twin Portals (book ten) of the Legend of the Arch Magus series.

An Arch Magus dies, only to find himself in the body of a young man in a medieval Kingdom. He finds out that he is the second son of a Duke, exiled to a desolated town by his own family. Shackled by the notorious reputation of his new shell, he tries his best to develop his domain, implementing new policies and innovations, leading his subjects to prosperity. In this world where magic is undeveloped, he shall once again pave a new path.

this is the type of series most if not all fantasy books should strive for. it is so well written out. enough growth from all the characters as well as action to keep me interested. I cannot wait for the next book to come out. The narrator does an amazing job bringing life to each character.

Top tier series

I was a little nervous since authors always find ways to mess things up but the story is still good, like a warm cup of tea. I love the narrator’s voice, brings me a lot of joy.

I want to see more world building and more Lark being awesome at being a great king and wizard.

Still love it

The story is great, and I feel the progression is in a sweet spot. You also see the Kingdoms new policies as an outsider, and I feel that it adds to the immersion.

Amazing story so far

I love this series. I wish this book was longer but you know too much of a good thing can be bad so I’ll be patiently awaiting book 11

This is one of the few series that I wait for over the long months. Keep them coming!

Great series!

Great main character. Love the 7 head Zillo multiply personalities. Just wish the books were longer.

Great story

It is a great addition to the series, bit it feels like half a book, despite being 2 together. Likely because since The MC has become king, most of his portions of the story are rather slow. He is also maybe in 1/3 of the chapters. So many different side stories and perspective swaps while well done and advance the story from other people's perspectives, doesn't seem to advance the main story line.

So while I recommend these books for sure if you are a fan of this series, it may be best to wait until the next book comes out to read this one, or you may be frustrated with the lack of progression.

A good continuation, but not much happens

it's a good story but the writing is so bad that I genuinely feel that it has parts of it writing by chatGPT, lots of repetition of phrases, instead of specifying how much time has gone past the author uses several for everything, also uses phrases like that guy, this guy, that old man, bring me that thing, it's honestly a primary school child level of descriptive language. the story is okay though, so if you don't mind the poor grammar and prose it's okay to pass the time

decent story to pass the time but poorly written
