Story
Our ability to prevent and reverse these conditions—and feel incredible today—is under our control and simpler than we think. The key is our metabolic function—the most important and least understood factor in our overall health. As Dr. Casey Means explains in this book, nearly every health problem we face can be explained by how well the cells in our body create and use energy. To live free from frustrating symptoms and life-threatening disease, we need our cells to be optimally powered so that they can create “good energy,” the essential fuel that impacts every aspect of our wellbeing.

absolutely thorough and easy to follow. Casey's mom's story was so heartbreaking, but how she turned that experience into Good Energy, gave me the inspiration I needed in my healing journey.

Story
What is motivation? Why do we feel totally paralyzed to do certain things, and utterly unable to quit others? Too many people conclude, falsely, that they are just lazy or lacking in willpower. But what they lack is a correct understanding of their own minds, of motivation, and the way that it operates.

it goes too much into detail about the science behind the reasons of the inaction but doesn't provide clear and concise solutions.
it's good for trying to understand the why, but not great on addressing the how.

Author fills the book with unnecessary examples making it longer than needed. Sometimes not connecting it with the actual "rule". Also uses a lot of biblical references and connecting God with the rules. not a fan.

The writer spends the first 6 or so chapters talking about "in this book, you'll find/learn..." it over explains things unnecessarily. it's a short book but has some helpful tips. I recommend to read and take notes as you go.
not super motivating.

Story
Jen Dixon is not your typical Kansas City kindergarten class mom - or mom in general. Jen already has two college-age daughters by two different (probably) musicians, and it's her second time around the class mom block with five-year-old Max - this time with a husband and father by her side. Though her best friend and PTA president sees her as the "wisest" candidate for the job (or oldest), not all of the other parents agree.

Entertaining

Entertaining little book, but not as funny as I thought. i was hoping to get more about the parents interaction regarding class parent communication than personal drama. Overall it was ok. Kept my mind off my chores.
