Story
In "Murder at the Mousetrap," the first Bunburry book, fudge-making and quaffing real ale in the local pub are matched by an undercurrent of passion, jealousy, hatred and murder - laced with a welcome dose of humour. Alfie McAlister has retreated from London to the peace and quiet of the country to recover from a personal tragedy. But an accidental death - which may have been no accident - reveals that the heart of England is far from the tranquil backwater he imagined.

Cuddly Murder Mystery if ever there was one!!
Reviewed: 03-19-24
These books are adorable, fun, engaging, and make you want to live in Bunburry! Alfie is such a wonderfully likable character, as are Marge and Liz! The story line develops surprisingly well and completely for such a short book, and you aren’t left feeling frustrated that something was missed. So glad I got the sets because otherwise I would have been frustrated they are over so quickly! (which is probably my only criticism).
The narration is very well done in my opinion and I enjoy listening to Nathaniel Parker. He does a splendid job of giving individual voices and personalities to each character!
Many thanks to Helena Marchmont for creating a new favorite of mine! 💗

Piper's always been aware of Levi. He's the kind of man who it's impossible to ignore. With his broad, muscular frame and gunmetal grey gaze he makes a statement without saying a word. But it's not until her psyche brushes his in an unguarded moment that they both realise: they are anchors.

I love this series, have listened to most of them multiple times waiting for new ones to come out. This one had a good story line but I have to admit it doesn’t live up to the expectations that the rest of the series sets. It’s a bit of a high bar, and this one just doesn’t quite make that cut.
The others had so much to keep you on edge, that this one feels ever so slightly boring by comparison. It is still worth the read, especially to get Levi’s story. However, I hope Ms. Wright has a little bit more in store for Larken’s story.

Karen Baugh Menuhin never disappoints me and neither does Sam Dewhurst-Phillips. Together as a writer narrator combo, they make an amazing pair and I am so thankful for finding the first Heathcliff Lennox book several years ago.
I after finishing one book I always look so much forward to the next to be available on Audible. I would read them in book form because it’s available sooner, but I LOVE Sam Dewhurst-Phillips’ narration! It literally wouldn’t be the same without him!
Many thanks to this dynamic duo for the wonderfully dynamic stories and amazing narration that always keeps me engaged and coming back for more!

Where to begin…
Reviewed: 02-18-22
I’m not 100% sure where to start for this. The immaturely terrible writing? The insanely unbelievable story lines? The awful narration?
I actually forced myself to listen through all 5 books just so I could give a fair review. Unfortunately, not only did it not get better as the books changed from one to the next, they actually got harder to get through. The story lines got less believable and the writing got more immature.
The narrator makes a great little. That is the only positive I have for the narration. She has no variation in her voice for other characters at all. Which means, when you’re listening to what’s supposed to be an alpha male, Daddy Dom, you’re literally hearing the voice of a little. And her penchant for running on with the sentences and incorrect pausing, makes it sound that much more like a little, so the unbelievable story lines sound that much more ludicrous because you have a little’s voice coming out of a Daddy Dom.
I won’t listen to more of this author. I’m afraid that the writing here seemed juvenile to the point of a high school kid writing their fantasies in a journal. Not an author publishing a book.
Do better Audible. Require better.
Scott Wylder, your story ideas have merit, but they need much better execution. Instead of making them itty bitty stories, they needed to be expanded in order to provide better development for not only the characters, but also their stories. These sounded like what you would use to pitch a story idea, not the finished product.
Annabelle Archer, you need to develop your skill set better. If this is what you enjoy and wish to do, be good at your craft. Get voice lessons and take acting classes. Make an effort.
I absolutely do not recommend this book series. You will be let down. Especially if you’re in the lifestyle. Because I’m then it just feels like the immature ramblings of a kid who fantasizes about it, and wants yo be part of it, but doesn’t yet know what it’s really about.

Story
Jude "Lucky" Lucketti wasn't just a sexy, brooding construction worker. He was my own personal hero, showing up in all the right places at the right times. Like when my car broke down and I needed a ride home, and when I face-planted on the sidewalk right in front of him and had to be taken to the emergency room. We became friends, and it didn't matter that he was 16 years older than me. We had a lot in common - like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars and our aversion to relationships.

Great Story

I’ve decided after a couple books now, that I love this author in most ways but there is just one thing that I don’t love about her style.
She has fantastic storylines and she does a really great job of developing her characters and making you love them. The only issue I have when it comes to her books so far is she has a tendency to hit dramatic parts and stay on them until your anxiety just can’t handle it anymore. At least that’s how it has been for me in both the books I have read from her so far. It just lasts a little too long for my tastes. Some may like this characteristic of her writing! It’s not my particular cup of tea. However, I genuinely love everything else about her stories and writing!
As for the narrators I thought they did a fantastic job. Aiden Snow, as always, is a favorite of mine, always! He did wonderful on this book, he never disappoints me. And Desiree Ketchum did a terrific job on this as well. Overall most definitely worth the read, especially once you get past the significantly long anxious period.

Really bad male narrator.
Reviewed: 12-26-21
The story line was good like the last in my opinion, but I truly don’t understand why they chose Alex Kidd to narrate the male characters. It almost hurts to listen to. I ended up reading a huge portion of it via kindle and only listening when I couldn’t actually sit down to read. This book needs to be re-recorded with a better male narrator. Anastasia did a good job on the female character though.

But I couldn’t turn my back on him or The Fallen MC. So when they needed me most, I offered the only thing of value I could use to help them. My body. And when helping them meant putting my life on the line, Nova had to decide just how much he was willing to do to get me out alive.

Story
I was a good girl. I ate my vegetables, volunteered at the local autism centre, and sat in the front pew of church every Sunday. Then, I got cancer. What the hell kind of reward was that for a boring life well lived? I was a 17-year-old paradigm of virtue, and I was tired of it. So, when I finally ran into the man I'd been writing to since he saved my life as a little girl and he offered to show me the dark side of life before I left it for good, I said yes.

I was excited about this book when I was only halfway through the first one of the series. I’m not at all disappointed! It was so good! Be prepared, it will take you through all the emotions at one point or other.
The narrators did well and the storyline continues and gets better from the last book. Definitely worth the credit!

This book surprised me in good ways. There was a little more depth than you usually find in a lot of MC romances. The characters are great and pretty well developed. Enjoyed the story line greatly and am really excited to listen to the next book with Zeus. I already fell for him in this one so, I’m pretty stoked. As an introduction to Giana Darling, I was not at all disappointed.
