Fantastic gamble!

I normally don’t read anything with less than 1k reviews and several sequels but this one caught me eye. The narrator is a master of his craft, the story is comedic but dramatic, the MC is everything I love about good LitRPG, light hearted but dealing with a very serious world. Though he is shaping up to be OP, it’s not out of place because the world is just that unfair.
Anyway, can’t wait to read the next 10!

Story
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

I love a good space opera with engaging characters, I love a good story about tackling problems with grinding, building, or learning. But all of those pale in comparison to how engaging it is to follow a badger android run along a river with a wooden box…. For 3 hours! … threeeee hourssss… and why hasn’t bob decided to add a small knife or a single tool to his androids ? Like a pocket for a pocket knife might solve too many problems . lol. I jest but for real I loved it and want more

Story
Roark von Graf has been fighting for one thing since the night his family was slaughtered: to kill the Tyrant King. Even when he was transported to a strange new world called a VRMMORPG, Roark recruited an army of Trolls, built a nation of high-level Dungeons, and crushed his opposition through trickery, seedy alliances, and sheer overwhelming force, all in service of revenge.

Matt, Liz, and Aster are now Tier 10. That means it's time for the Pather tournament. There they will face people who are as strong as them for the first time. But things are never easy. With years of Luna's guidance they will have to compete twice. Once as themselves and again under a mask with restrictions meant to ensure they really are the strongest.

It’s good, the chars are good, but damnit a tournament where nobody really dies and everyone has self imposed false identities … it’s a slog. Even With the big war coming absolutely nobody cares that time is being spent on a near meaningless tournament especially since the main chars already said they are stepping off the path sooner than later. Matt’s main power is that he (and anyone) could just seclude themselves and rift dive nonstop and just buy upgrades with his endless wealth so they could win in the upcoming war but they are told constantly to not do that because reasons that won’t matter in a few years…. Lord it’s frustrating.

Story
Nacho had zero intentions to make friends. He certainly had no plans to be put in the unenviable position of being the leader of a guild. But if there’s one thing that he excels at, it certainly isn’t cooking. No, he’s far better at rolling with the punches and making sure the people around him survive. When literal monsters are everywhere, that’s the kind of person you want in charge. But this world isn’t what he’s been expecting. Things are different. He is different. By succeeding so much, so fast, humanity has unlocked the next stage of the Juxtaposition, years before they’re ready for it.

Eli "Nacho" Naches is a fearsome assassin who has lost everything in a post-apocalyptic world full of monstrous creatures. He knows where he fits in this horror show, and he’s only been hanging around to see what’s going to be thrown at him next. When he’s finally put in chains and sent to the chopping block, he goes readily...only to be unexpectedly sent back in time to his younger body with his memories intact and the chance to make a difference.

Story
When it comes to action and adventure, every hero needs a good sidekick. Holmes has Watson, Batman has Robin, and Daniel has . . . Orrin. More like brothers than friends, they always have each other's backs. And as Daniel is the big, strong, handsome type, Orrin is more than happy to remain in his shadow at school, at parties, pretty much everywhere. Then things take a turn for the truly weird when a terrible accident catapults the pair into a world totally unlike their own, in which the rules of a role-playing game hold sway.

I’ve never listened to a series that’s written with such an entertaining and vivid style paired up with a narrator who had to have been trained since birth in a Tibetan monastery to be a speaker of words for the ages. Loved it, couldn’t get enough.
