I love her books, but do not like the audible versions. The narrator over enunciates words and sometimes speaks very slowly. It's like listening to a 3rd grader reading aloud.

This is a long book and I kept waiting for some kind of resolution. It was very depressing and just left you hanging at every moment of the story. I get that it's a comment on society and injustices but it was way to long and drawn out.

Terrible Narrator

Both Book 1 and Book 2 in this series have had terrible narration. The setting is in Montana and the narrator has a British/North Dakota accent in Book 2. Book 1, had a whiny, little girl narrator that I almost quit listening to. Good stories, bit I'm sure that I would've liked them better if I had read them.

It's very rare that I don't listen to an entire book. Kylie Brant has a lot of descriptive sex in all of her books. I could do without all of it and skip through it. This book started right away with what you know will end up with lots of sex. This book definitely belongs in Romance.

I listened on Audible with Read and Listen Free. If I had to pay, I would’ve wanted a refund. It was a slow start and I almost quit listening. Thought it might get better, but it didn’t. It was definitely a book that I was sad that it was over.
