Everything about this book was great except the narrative read by Kirby Heybourne. I stuck with it, it’s a short story. He is not the Bennett voice at all. Grace Grant makes listening so entertaining and enjoyable.

I picked his book because I was curious about his upbringing and his time in prison. But ended up with so much more! I was so emotionally caught up in his personal story, his compassion for others, and his purpose! I had moments of clapping, smiling, laughing, and flat out tearing up! His love for life, family, and faith is contagious!!! I felt so much as I listened to him tell his story!!!! Thank you Danny, for your story, and for the person you are! Fannie Flagg and her books just hit the spot!Especially this one! It reminds me so much of my grandparents and the stories they would tell and how fun it was to go to their house. This is a feel good book! I found myself smiling, and laughing out loud, as I listened. If you loved Fried Green Tomatos, then this is for you!! It catches you up on ALL the characters from it!!! YEAH!!!
