Story
Adam Binder has lost what matters most to him. Having finally learned the true identity of the warlock preying on his family, what was supposed to be a final confrontation with the fiend instead became a trap that sent Adam’s beloved Vicente into the realm of the dead, where none living are meant to be. Bound by debt, oath, and love, Adam blazes his own trail into the underworld to get Vicente back, and to end the threat of the warlock once and for all. But the road to hell is paved with far more than good intentions.

The story was unquie and the romance so adorably wholesome.

I loved this trilogy. I admittedly thought some parts were a little anticlimactic but over all the character dynamics and development were great and so satisfying to change throughout the tree books.
And the romance was super wholesome and cute, Adam and Vic getting used to each other and the idea of a future together. The romance isn't an overwhelming part of the plot but it does develop alongside it. Adam and Vic also have a lot of time in this book where the reader gets to see them as individuals adapting to the magic world around them.
I definitely think this is worth a listen.

I loved everything about this. it was a wild ride from start to finish and made me realize I'd never known I needed a story about a hyper intelligent cat in space in charge of a giant killer satellite.

I liked everything about this story. The characters were great and I really enjoyed Torn interacting with so many different people.
The pacing was really nice too. It felt slow enough to make the progression believeable without feeling like it dragged on. While it also felt fast paced enough to keep the story engaging.

An interesting twist to classic fairytales
Reviewed: 05-04-22
This whole story was great. I loved the narration and the characters.
It was fun discovering how the three protagonists fit into the narrative and figuring out that they were character from fairytales as well and which ones they were.
I enjoyed the pacing and the direction of the story, there was always another adventure to go on, but it didn't feel too rushed or crowded.
I'd really love to see more of this and would definitely listen to a sequel if one came out.

Story
Sam of Wilds faced the Dark wizard Myrin and lived to tell the tale. Granted, the battle left him scarred, but things could be a hell of a lot worse. It’s not until he reunites with Morgan of Shadows and Randall that he realizes just how much worse things could be. Because the scars have meaning and hint at Myrin’s true plans for Sam and the Kingdom of Verania. With time running out, Sam and his band of merry misfits must travel to the snowy mountains in the North and the heart of the Dark Woods to convince the remaining dragons to stand against Myrin.

Now I have to wait for the next book to come out. It's gonna be so hard to be patient! But at least I was able to read these 3 straight through. Totally worth. And the narrator, Michael Lesley, has to be my new favorite ever after hearing him bring these books to life.

Excuse me while I immediately go get the next book
Reviewed: 10-28-18
What a cliff hanger. I was planning to get the next book already, so this feels unnecessary but I imagine Klune couldn't have just made one huge book, that would probably be impractical. I can only imagine how bad the wait must have been for the people who actually had to wait between the 2nd and third books being published. I'm so glad I found this when all 3 of these are already out. These books are fun beginning to end and the narrator is so perfect for it.

Story
Once upon a time, in an alleyway in the slums of the City of Lockes, a young and somewhat lonely boy named Sam Haversford turns a group of teenage douchebags into stone completely by accident. Of course, this catches the attention of a higher power, and Sam's pulled from the only world he knows to become an apprentice to the king's wizard, Morgan of Shadows.

The first of hopefully many audio books I hear
Reviewed: 04-16-17
I though the narrator did a great job of bringing the story to life and differentiating between the characters by pitching his voice differently and providing accents. This is the first professionally done audio book I've ever listened to and I enjoyed it a lot.
As for the story, I recommend it highly especially if you like dragon's and even more so if you'd like to see the dragon as the main character capable of thought and friendship as well as fire breathing and fighting.
