I love the Nocturn Falls series and this one follows the same formula that makes the books so fun to read. Great characters, interesting bad guys, suspense and excitement and of course surprises await the reader. Keep them coming Kristen.

Story
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

With Kingsley safe and Momar subdued for the moment, it's time for healing. Jessie and the gang take a much-needed break. Or, at least, the gang does. The holidays are upon them and the ex has invited Jessie to meet his new fiancée. It's off to L.A. where Jessie will face her past and the wounds she didn't realize still lingered. Niamh, too, meets a blast from her past. This one, though, is ten times more dangerous. Re-connecting is a risk not even Tristan is sure they should take.

Story
Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all. Eamon Underwood isn’t what you’d call a social butterfly. In fact, he avoids people altogether, outside of his job at his uncle’s funeral home, where Eamon is the mortician. For him, being around the dead is easier than being around the living. Mostly because of his very curious gift that enables him to see just how long a person has left to live. That knowledge makes personal interaction far too difficult.

More of the story awaits but it is very nice to meet new characters. I loved the excitement of the battle scenes. Excellent job putting that together Ms. Breene.

Story
Some people greet the day with open arms. Sheriff Sunshine Vicram would rather give it a hearty shove and get back into bed, because there’s just too much going on right now. There’s a series of women going missing, and Sunny feels powerless to stop it. There’s her persistent and awesomely-rebellious daughter Auri, who’s out to singlehandedly become Del Sol’s youngest and fiercest investigator. And then there’s drama with Levi Ravinder—the guy she’s loved and lusted after for years. The guy who might just be her one and only.

The wait is over and we can finally have more of Sunshine’s adventures as a New Mexico Sheriff. I love this character and love the author. I admit, I found myself relating to the antics Sunshine plays on her daughter. I myself have not corrected my daughters pronunciation of particular words because I thought it was cute. She wasn’t happy when she found that out! The characters Darinda develops are so relatable and even more, you probably have people in your own life you are reminded of. I look forward to anything Darinda Jones writes and maybe some day we will see Sunshine again.

The girls are back with yet another adventure. I did tend to get a bit confused on who was who, but that’s just from reading so fast I didn’t remember who did what! I love the family these women create and the bonds they share. This story will frustrate and enrage sometimes but it’s the deviousness of the characters that have been brought to life. All in all, I loved it and can’t wait for the next one.

I love this series and this story had a lot going on. Excitement, adventure, betrayal, hope; all the elements that make a great story. Belladonna has come a long way from being the wife of a notorious mob boss. Her new vampire life has more unexpected happenings. BJ Harrison is brilliant at storytelling and the way he changed characters is amazing. I hope this series continues.
