Story
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

Story
He was the one man I couldn’t avoid. And the one man I couldn’t resist. Damien Stark could have his way with any woman. He was sexy, confident, and commanding: Anything he wanted, he got. And what he wanted was me. Our attraction was unmistakable, almost beyond control, but as much as I ached to be his, I feared the pressures of his demands. Submitting to Damien meant I had to bare the darkest truth about my past - and risk breaking us apart. But Damien was haunted, too. And as our passion came to obsess us both, his secrets threatened to destroy him - and us - forever.

This story was forgettable
Reviewed: 07-17-13
Okay I just don't see what the buzz about this book is all about, it's not even close to the league of FSOG and the Crossfire series. Book is well written but the story is mediocre, I didn't find the sex scenes all that hot. I think you can skip this one, I can't remember the main characters names that's how forgettable this book was.

I got totally hooked that I listened to the whole series in 3 day, probably would have listened in a day if I didn't have work.
Shane East as Ethan Blackstone was incredible, oh my I completely fell in love. I will listen to this audiobook over and over. The books are so beautifully written, the story is fast paced and some hot sex scenes. Loved it.

Heartwarming amongst all the craziness
Reviewed: 06-20-13
I had so many laugh out loud moments in this book, it was so intelligently written, I raced through it. I bought this book and a week later Amazon dropped the price:( which I was not impressed by but the book is so good that it was worth it.
Okay back to the review, there are so many crazy, insane moments that this book felt real and somehow within the craziness you identify with the characters. You become vested in the characters and you feel they are a family member you know. This book is about second chances about love and life. It also have some serious moments but this is a great book.

Reading the synopsis of this book, I wasn't really interested in this book, sounded like and overdone plot, but the reviews convinced me to give it a try.
I loved this Book, the emotion that the author manages to portray made me fall in love with the characters. Kyle and Nell grew up together and them falling in love and dating was inevitable, when Kyle dies, Nell is plagued by grief and guilt. She meets Coltan, Kyle's older brother, at the the funeral and they seem to have a connection. They meet again a couple of years later and they are drawn to each other as they understand each others pain. This sounds simple and like something you've read before, but the author manages to make it fresh and the use of specific words so you get emotionally involved with the characters. The dialogue between the characters was so well done, that you understood them better and their perspective to the world. I liked that she developed the characters and they formed a bond and they continue to struggle with their emotions, there was no quick fix which made it more realistic somehow.
I really enjoyed this story and the two narrators did the book justice. I loved the song at the end of the book.

Bernadette Fox is notorious. To her Microsoft-guru husband, she's a fearlessly opinionated partner; to fellow private-school mothers in Seattle, she's a disgrace; to design mavens, she's a revolutionary architect, and to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, simply, Mom.
Then Bernadette disappears. It began when Bee aced her report card and claimed her promised reward: a family trip to Antarctica. But Bernadette's intensifying allergy to Seattle - and people in general - has made her so agoraphobic that a virtual assistant in India now runs her most basic errands.

Reviewed: 05-20-13
Okay I must say what a book? Yes I totally loved the first half of this beautiful, super crazy and funny book then the second half of the book had some very weird and random events that I was left slightly disappointed. The ending was so rushed that I felt the author brought up issues and then didn't bother to bring them together. This book is so great that I would have read 150 more pages, there was no need to rush it. That being said this is worth your money/credit. I thought it was very clever that the story was told from the daughter's perspective and made me love Bernadette more because of this. I laughed so much with this book and the level of crazy that happens you will recommend this book to all your friends so you can discuss it. The narration was spot on and captured the essence of every character. Bea and Bernadette have a beautiful relationship that amongst all the craziness, it's very heart warming.

Story
During his years in a neural-health facility, Pat Peoples has formulated a theory about silver linings. He believes that his life is a movie produced by God, that his mission is to become physically fit and emotionally supportive, and that if he succeeds, his happy ending will be the return of his estranged wife, Nikki. When Pat goes to live with his parents, everything seems changed: no one will talk to him about Nikki, and his new therapist seems to be recommending adultery as a form of therapy.

The power of positive thinking
Reviewed: 03-12-13
So when I went to watch this movie, I saw it was based on a novel by Matthew quick, I'd previously never heard of this author. I enjoyed the movie thoroughly so I decided to get the book. Needless to say the movie and the book a quite different from each other but I loved this book.
Firstly the message Pat is trying to live by, he wants to be a better person to try get back his wife Nicky so he "practices to be kind and not right" as he puts it and believes in silver linings as long as he practice to be kind and not right. Of course life is not perfect and we cannot control other people actions. Pat tries to re-connect with his father and visits "the best therapist in the world" while he tries to piece his life together after being in a mental facility. If Pat is crazy then Victoria is more crazy but her heart in a good place. I loved the message and theme for this book; being positive, kind and hope that every chapter you read you are continuously hopeful that Pat can get better and his silver lining will come.
Secondly since I watched the movie before reading the book I was a little surprised by the narration. The narrator sounded a little slow (mentally), though the character suffers from a mental disorder (bipolar syndrome) he is not slow nor suffers from a low IQ. So at first I was slightly surprised, but I soon got over this and the narrator drew me to the story and when it was over, it felt too soon. This book is definitely a repeat listen for me, and I recommend it because the book gives you hope and makes you a believer in silver linings.

Great narration to a great classic
Reviewed: 03-12-13
Oh where do I begin, Ms Messenger was absolutely brilliant with her narration and capturing each character. I'm a die hard Jane Austin fan; I've read Pride and Prejudice at least every year, watched every movie production and this is my first audiobook. I think Emma does a brilliant job capturing the essence of all the characters, she has a great dramatic flare that make you fall in love with this story all over again.
The book has drama, romance and comedy, I think people forget that the book has a comedic element and the narrator captures this and I was truly entertained listening to this version of Pride and Prejudice.
Happy listening

Would you listen to Prince Charming (Ascension Trilogy) again? Why?
Yes, the heroine I've very strong and the narration is well done.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes I really got caught up in this story quite quickly, it's really easy to get into the story as the characters are so strong, interesting and distinct.
Any additional comments?
This story is about the prince who wants to prove himself as a future leader for his island and he soon get his chance but of course this come with conditions. He must marry soon. Enter our heroine, who lives a little on the dangerous side of life and her luck soon runs out. I loved the love story and how the characters grow together. This book is definitely worth listening to and the story develops quickly with enough angst without being too much.
