About this listen

Bell Harbor is a one-million copy bestselling series.

If Sadie Turner is good at anything, it’s putting stuff in order. So when she finds her “perfect” life in disarray, she hopes a summer vacation at her aunt’s lake house will help her piece it back together. She wants to relax, reboot, and heal the wounds left by her cheating ex-husband. And that requires time away from men. All men.

Or so she thinks.

With two slobbering dogs and two cousins living there - one a flamboyant decorator intent on making over Sadie - it’s hard to get a moment’s peace at eccentric Aunt Dody’s house, especially with everyone so determined to set her up with Desmond, the sexy new neighbor.

Desmond is Sadie’s worst nightmare. Tall, tanned, muscular...and to top it off, he’s great with her kids. But he must have a flaw - he’s a man - so Sadie vows to keep her distance.

As summer blazes on, the life Sadie is trying so hard to simplify only becomes more complicated - a new career presents itself, her evil ex haunts her, and Aunt Dody reveals a tragic secret - but maybe a little chaos is just what Sadie needs to get her life back in order.

What fun this book was, while hitting us with moments of cringing. Very engaging and enjoyable.

Fun piece of life with hilarity threaded through.

If you could sum up Crazy Little Thing in three words, what would they be?

Fun, entertaining, clichéd

What was one of the most memorable moments of Crazy Little Thing?

I just enjoyed the entire story because it had lots of LOL moments

What didn’t you like about Lori Reyes’s performance?

The voice used to portray the Aunt was so screechy it gave me headaches. Had to listen to the text-to-speech voice instead.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, definitely. I was looking for something cheerful to listen to and this fit the bill.

Any additional comments?

Recommended if you are looking for a fast, funny story with quirky characters and don't expect anything unexpected or deep.

Read the ebook, avoid the audio!

Great romantic story in a realistic set of circumstances. Paralleled my own life I some ways. Enjoyable enough that I was often wanting to listen beyond my car where it was meant to kill time on the road.

Great romantic story

I will try to read this book because the narration is horrible. If she’s not putting me to sleep with her first person and narration, the annoying aunt Dodi’s voice is like fingernails to chalkboard. I’m sorry, I just can’t continue.

I just can’t listen

How could the performance have been better?

The voices used by the narrator were grating in the least. One of the characters sounded like the wicked witch of the west. Couldn't finish it.

The narrator did it.

I started out reading this book and switched to audible when I wanted to go handsfree. The performance was so off base I had to stop listening to it. The accents or voices she does were really off and some of the inflections were too. The characters are witty and funny and it just didn’t translate. Her voices for the kids were really awful and Aunt Dody was like nails on a chalkboard. It would have been better if she just read it in all one voice. Read this one for yourself!

Good book, terrible performance

The story is okay, but the narration is awful. Maybe this is one to read.

Worst narration

The story was cute and predictable. The narration was painful to listen to!!!! Lori should have just read the book and not changed her voice. It was very annoying

The narration was horrible!

I first started reading/listening to this book in the Kindle unlimited free reads. I almost stopped listening to the book when I heard Dodys voice...it was irritating, annoying and disrupting to the story. I did not stop though and I am glad I didn't it was a good story and I enjoyed reading/listening to it. (I bought both the book and audiobook afterwards). The narrator did a very good job reading the book...it was just that one character voice -Dody- that I didn't like...but overall the narrators performance was 5 stars. I just couldn't listen to it while falling asleep, haha, Dody kept waking me up.

very good
