One of my favorite series!!

Overall
4 out of 5 stars

I love that the author made l prequel to this series and even better put it on Audible. I only wish it had dual narrators, that's the only drawback to this saucy story. I'm also hoping that the rest of the series is also put on Audible!!!

I read this book a few months ago and really enjoyed it. You have an older sister taking care of a younger brother that doesn't always think things through. They live in a human settlement on an alien planet where they are not allowed to hunt for food or have fire touch the ground. When the Dakari come to investigate and lunch her brother for burning the crops Out gives herself to the horde king to save him. Luna thinks she is going to be the kings concubine but later finds out she is to be his queen because of her beauty and strength he also believes she was brought to him by their goddess.

There is a lot of misunderstandings that happen due to language and simply because he assumes she already knows about their culture. Luna is accepted by all of the horde with the exception of the king's aunt who doesn't think she is good for him or the horde. The aunt goes as far as helping an evil tribe to kidnap her, but I don't want to spoil the ending. I will say that the king does allow her brother to join the horde so they can be together. Luna is also helping the king and others to understand that the laws that humans have to follow are starving them. I believe the following books will tell of how the Dakari and Humans understand each other better and Dakari help humans to learn how to take care of themselves with also respecting and not over using the planet's resources.

I can't wait for the rest of the series. My only real problem was that this was written in a single point of view, I enjoy a story more when you have in dual Point of view. If the following stories are in dual POV it would be great to also have the Audible with both male and female voice actors.
I loved that the story has interesting world building and the characters learn to fall in love with each other, it's not insta love. There is plenty of insta attraction with no rape or forced submission, but plenty of mutual steamy sexy times.

I highly recommend this either way you pay, you will enjoy it!!!

80's Heat High School Romance!!

This story is "cute" with a few funny moments. However, this is like a Scubby Doo fiance where you get an overview of sex scenes but no details. Written in a style that is more from a teen from the 80's-90's rather than an adult woman. Returning!!

I read this last year an was so happy to see that it was now on Audible. The narrator did an awesome job doing both male and female voices. I highly recommend this.

I read this book about a year ago and was excited to see it on Audible! I love the gruffness of Payne and how it compliments Penelope. The narrators were great especially Max Thomas!
Alexa Riley is one of my favorite authors and I'm so happy she has gotten more books available on Audible! I definitely recommend this book, and you should also check out her others!

First of all this is in only the h's point of view, you get nothing from the H. This story talks about rape as though they are discussing what they ate for breakfast! There is no relationship building between the H & h, but that doesn't seem to be that big a deal since when she decides to go with him he says he will give his children his name and inheritance and that he has bedded many women and will bed many more!! WTF?? Thankfully this was short because that's the only reason I finished it. I plan to return this and see no reason to continue the series.

I felt like I was reading a book back in Jr high. They have mediocre sex with almost now description, she drones on endlessly about all her worries.. I actually had to skip over a few chapters just to remain sane.

The end sucked, she doesn't go to the tree to try and actually get healed, they head back to land. WTF?? I'm going to get my credit back, very disappointed because I had this in my wish list for a while.

I love how we see Amy go from a shy girl waiting in her lonely room for her prince to come and sweep her off her feet. Poor thing is having to stay heavily perfumed and hidden away to keep other dragoni Alex from searching her out as a mate. Her sister is doing it out of love but Amy wants what her sister and the other mates have....a male who looked at her with utter love and devotion and lives only to make them happy.

Amy goes from being someone who has never had to take care of herself to a strong woman who other women look to for leadership. I won't go into exactly how but it's really a sweet story, and she and her tough mate compliment each other perfectly.

The narrators did a great job and of course it is in dual POV. I can't say enough about Ruby Dixon, I love all her work and so happy they are available on Audible. I would have to admit that my favorite series is Ice Planet Barbarians, but this se r is awesome in its own right.

Liz is one of my favorite characters in this series, I love her subterfuge to get her mate back! I'm a big fan of the Ice Planet Barbarians Series and love that they are on Audible. The narrators were great, however it seemed like th e female narrator was talking in a tin can and her voice would change pich in odd times. But still so awsome!

I really enjoyed this new spin off of the Ice Planet Barbarians even though I didn't like why there is this spin off. I don't like that Maddock's old crew was taken and killed off! However the new cast of characters are set up for some very interesting story lines.

Ruby Dixon, the author, has three series that are in Audible so that is the reasoning behind the three sets of narrators. I loved the narrators for the Ice Planet Barbarians, the but who did the male voices was awesome hands down. I completely hate how both narrators did the voices for the males in this book. They are made to sound slow whitted, the female voices where good though.
