Story
A burgeoning Power. Dormant followers. Ancient forces. Forgotten Allies. And Lurking Enemies. Will they clash? And when they do, will the Wolf emerge triumphant? Michael has come far in the Game since his somewhat-ignominious entry through Erebus’ dungeon. Now, a force to be reckoned with, he is more than a mere player and someone the Powers would do well to fear… But as Michael’s power has grown, so too has his Pack.

Extending a good series
Reviewed: 06-23-24
I enjoy this adventure. I appreciate an MC who can actually make decisions right away and not him-haw around. I do wish that the big fights were more detailed. there is big lead up to the fight and then bam, big bad guy is dead. I get that this book was probably more to progress the story and a lot did happen. but still.

Story
The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn't going to be easy to survive. The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but the Master asks for trust. Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction.

voice actor changed
Reviewed: 05-30-24
I'm sorry but this new voice actor is bad. there is not a lot of inflection and ALL the characters sound almost the exact same. can't tell sex of character, and most of them are some version of a Bronx new York accent. I loved the VA from the first FOUR books. then without warning we get this awful change. I really like the story but damn is it hard to listen to when I can't keep track of who is talking because all of them sound like the same male character voice with slightly different new York accents.

Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Way TOO sexual
Reviewed: 11-13-23
I'll be honest and say that I don't read/listen to many books where the MC is female, the author is female, and the narrator is female. I read the description of the book and figured there was going to be some romantic tension in this war time story. But...damn... It is way to graphic ALL the time. Especially in the last 5 hours of the book when relationships take off. I really enjoyed the magic system and the story overall, but the constant graphical sexual talk was too much. I can't continue the series.

A different take on cultivation
Reviewed: 10-19-23
I like that the story follows a sect instead of a wildly over Powered MC who just randomly interacts with a sect and moves on. slightly more of a humble roots beginning. Curious to see where this story goes, I'll be buying the second book as soon as it's available.

I liked that each story was from a different point of view. But the reading was a bit slow and cumbersome so turning the playback speed to 1.2x helped a LOT.

As the months in the time loop seem to add up without end, Zorian forms alliances with acquaintances old and new in an effort to solve the mystery of the loop and save his city—maybe even the world—from destruction. But while his mage skills develop and he pursues more advanced and unusual forms of magic, Zorian must battle necromancers, fanatical cultists, and vicious creatures—all while avoiding the attention of the lich who could kill him...permanently.
