Publisher's summary

Audiobook 7 of the best-selling Eden's Gate series!

The Scourge have launched an attack, and the Freelands are overrun with Ergoth’s army of orcs and goblins. Travel is no longer safe, trade is at a standstill, and Edgewood Village is in ruins.

With the guild in desperate need of gold, Gunnar treks through the battle zone to complete an unresolved quest and is faced with a moral dilemma unlike anything he’s ever experienced in Eden’s Gate.

His choices lead him to join forces with some unlikely companions and sends him straight into the heart of the Wastelands.

Orcs would never allow humans to enter the Wastelands freely, so how exactly will he get inside, and what secrets are lurking deep below the Wastelands' surface?

In an unforgiving land filled with bloodthirsty beasts and monsters, Gunnar will be left questioning: Who is the real monster, and who’s the worst monster of them all?

Awesome book but Pavi..

I wish more than anything that Pavi would have tried to keep the same voice narrative.. sounds like he's got a wicked cold or his nuts dropped hella hard. Either way, AWESOME STORY EDWARD BRODY!!!!

Still a fantastic storyline

I am really enjoying the storyline, but I am highly disliking Gunner’s inability or unwillingness to standup for himself. It seems he is either getting gripe from the females he is romanticizing about, or he is literally being pushed around by kings, queens, NPC’s and other players. He is allegedly getting stronger, but continues to be pushed around. I hope on the upcoming books he demonstrates more of a alpha style behavior and demonstrates the consequences for how he is being treated by these individuals.

My Orcish Needs Work

The stress of Edwards situation came though in his writing. The book picked up quite a bit towards the end. All together it was a fine read and featured well in the Saga as a whole. The Orc related plot made a nice change of pace and the attempts to integrate more cultures into the social atmosphere of Eden's Gate were worth the effort for sure.
The general story was exciting and entertaining. Enlarging the Mythos feels like it will soon pay off. My hopes for the next installment are many.
I speak for us all when I say the next book can't get here fast enough.

Also, what's the deal with Pavi? His voice was very different this time? Most of the characters sounded like they always had but his narration voice was lower than normal. I hope Pavi is getting enough vocal rest.

MC is an idiot

the overall story is ok but the indecisive MC is an idiot who constantly makes terrible choices and somehow ends up with usually good outcomes.

Bent over ending… again

(Spoiler, kind of)

If you’re a fan of this series then you just know that the MC is going to be seriously bent over in the last few paragraphs on the final page of the final chapter of the book. It’s gotten kind of predictable but still this ending was seriously over the top. At least it wasn’t permanent-death.

The stats are kind of clunky, could you please put them at the end of the chapter in the next book?
