I probably should have read,(listened) to this part of the series some 20+ years ago. But finally got around to listening and finishing it now. Personally,I don't think it's a great sequel to previous books in the series. But it's not terrible either for a non cannon story.

While the story overall is better then part 2 as far as language and content. I am surprised how part 3 ended. And reminds me why Steve King gets flack for his endings.
This ending definitely makes you want to start Part 4 immediately afterwards.

Reminiscent of yesteryear radio dramas

I finally got around to listening to this story I added to my Library last year.
There weren't any bad performances from anyone involved. But the story details seemed off. A mention of pulling a cell phone battery seems 2006 era and not 2021. The cliche of the tech person can instantly pull up what's ever is needed without delay no matter their location didn't seem real to me.
I did appreciate the story involving E-sports.
The story could have been shorter. But it's worth a try for anyone a fan of Breaking Bad. It's a murder mystery that keeps you guessing who did it until the end.

He may be Lord of the Seven Seas, but for The Deep, life has been a tsunami of humiliations and setbacks. After braving the childhood trauma of being the weird kid with gills, Deep rose to the very top, basking in worldwide fame with Earth’s most powerful superheroes. But his public glory masked the disrespect of his teammates who crushed him, day after day. When he found himself patrolling the streets of Sandusky, Ohio, and then swallowed up into the Church of the Collective, Deep realized he had plummeted even deeper than the Mariana Trench.

Story
Time is running out for the passengers and crew of the tourist cruiser Selene, incarcerated in a sea of choking lunar dust. On the surface, her rescuers find their resources stretched to the limit by the mercilessly unpredictable conditions of a totally alien environment. A brilliantly imagined story of human ingenuity and survival, A Fall of Moondust is a tour-de-force of psychological suspense and sustained dramatic tension by the field's foremost author.

I finally got around to listening to Penny Marshall's book I purchased awhile ago. I knew she directed Big and a League of their own. But there were other movies I wasn't aware of. I thought her book did a great job of enlightening the listener who she was and what her life was like.
I have no regrets purchasing the story and only regret not listening sooner.

Story
Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 12 short stories written in the style of a classic kids' tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach. What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. And much more!

I listened to this book as a TWIT fan of the late Jerry Pournelle who was always a great guest on the podcast.
Overall the story was okay. I was sad towards the end a long time character dies in it. It's sad there will never be further sequels in the series.
But it's happy Jerry and Larry were able to write books together for decades.
