Story
He was promised a life of wandering his new home and having adventures, but things got out of hand pretty quickly. He met with kings and gods, fought interdimensional cults, and got in a knife fight with the guy who creates universes. He didn't win. What he'd never done was roam around, having nice, sensible adventures. He hadn't even seen the hometown of his friends, and that had been the first destination on his list.

Really good like always!
Reviewed: 06-05-25
This series continues to amaze me! I’ve listened to every book, besides this one, many times as I wait for the next to come out. With that, I continue to dislike the political jabs the author makes as it rocks me out of the “escape from reality.” Everyone has an opinion, please stop making yours so obvious. It’s like being in a smooth ride and hitting a pothole. Besides that, the story is always thrilling.

It also develops an advanced VR headset...to let users experience time faster in virtual worlds.... Two years later, ARKUS releases World-Tree Online. This is an amazing audio book. The story is simple yet draws you into it as much as a complex plot. I will definitely be spending credits to continue the adventure. No spoilers ahead, just how I feel about the ending. Even though there's more books this story ends well enough you can walk away without buying the next book. The ending leaves you wanting more but complete enough to make you feel satisfied.

Great addition to the story.

This was a good addition to the story but kind of slow to start. A lot of talking and explaining mostly but it added just enough progression to not be boring. The ending was dramatic and exciting so worth the credit. I can't wait until the next book.

Story
Arthur lives with his father, a fallen but proud former noble, in Border Village #49, along with the other good folks condemned to toil in service to the Baron. But Arthur has an edge: a stolen heart card that secretly fell into his possession, thanks to a dragon. It’s a priceless source of power for the Baron and the tyrant will kill to get it back. Invaluable, too, to a young man of spellcasting ambitions.

With the Builder threat behind them, the time has finally come for Jason and his team to hit the road. Eager to get back to the adventuring he’s been longing for, Jason is excited to not be at the center of world-changing events. But before he goes, one last attempt to pull him into politics has him leaving Rimaros with a strong final impression. With new places to visit and new people to meet, the remnants of recent events have scarred the land and left lingering dangers behind. It's a busy time for adventurers willing and able to fight with monsters.

This series is worth listing to. Great characters, great story, great voice acting. Coming from a lover of Mist Born, King Killer Chronicles, and Stormlight Archives, I can say this is a good listen. don't get me wrong, this series isn't as good as the series I named but still a good listen.

I really enjoy this series. It's one of those books you can just sit down and enjoy. Not overly complicated or many long moments of just back story. I love all the characters and the overall plot. Is it the best written story? No. Is it a masterpiece of character development and plot? Nope, but it's a good story that ypu will enjoy amd laugh.

Story
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

I've heard them all!
Reviewed: 09-28-22
So far I have listened to all 7 in the series. I have to say, I have enjoyed the story, characters, and world building. The series isn't perfect and may stagger at times in progression but I've found myself just enjoying the ride. There are political statement, which are very cringe inducing and annoying, but they add nor subtract from the story. The series isn't like Kingkiller Chronicles or Stormlight Archives but is a great series to enjoy in-between the long waits for those titles sequels.
