About this listen

After a much longed-for reunion, Jason Asano works on moving past old traumas as he looks to a brighter future.

Despite warnings of danger that awaits him, he gets back in the saddle as an adventurer, ready to tackle new challenges.

But as enemies that have lurked in the background start moving into the light, those challenges are not hard to find.

Jason and his friends don’t wait passively; they use schemes of their own to take the fight to the enemy. His companions find themselves plunged into dangerous missions and confronted with enemies both personal and unexpected.

Jason will push new boundaries, and while it comes at a cost, it will move him deeper into the realms of cosmic power.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Totally got it’s hooks in me

Easily one of my favorite series to date. It’s hard to find protagonists that have that “evil genius” vibe. If you’re a fan of a witty sarcastic asshat of an MC this is for you.

Great book series

I really enjoy this book series. It is my favorite series way better then "the land". Excited about the next book, the only con I have is I wish each book was longer.

Good Story Development.

Between the last 2 books I am very happy with the series. The last book took a break from hack and slash to let Jason have a mental breakdown and recover. This book did a lot of character development and explaining of things to come that will be helpful in future books. I do hope the next book gets back to the grind of fighting and improving though, especially since that was the main theme of this book. Looking forward to Book 9!

funtastic

you know when they are time when you would listen a book and it would go on for many series then it would just not be good after maybe like the first two series. this is not one of them. this gets better and better and I can't wait until the other one comes up.

Love and Hate here.

One of the best series I have had the pleasure of owning. Performance is excellent. The story in the last 2 books has gotten a little redundant. I don't like a recap each chapter, or every other chapter. It's starting to feel like a Manga where they use recap filler to over inflate the content. Still love the story, just not the artificial inflating of content. I feel like I got 8hrs of story, not 20.
