Good "read". Story has the elements to entertain the "reader" / "listener". As you look back you see elements of the plot opened but not resolved until the end. they just kind of flick their tail and are out of sight. The story site adds a crisp outside, with a fluffy inside. Fish & Chips

A good listen.

Modesitt has moved away from my two favorites (Saga of Recluse & Imager). Some are more successful than others. Some do not even seem to be by the same author. Thankfully this one seems to be more in line with his work. It is entertaining and moves well, though not on par with his best known series, it is still a good listen.

A good author and sequel, but each book leaves you hanging. Each book does not have an end. The author wants you to buy the next book. Which is fine, but is there a resolution in one of the sequels ? How many do you have to go through to get resolution?
