I was dying for Eden. How badly she wanted a baby! Any woman who has had trouble getting pregnant can surely relate. Definitely did not expect the ending....but I am so glad that even we, the readers, got closure. Excellent read!

Sure, I knew part of this book would be extremely funny. I mean, it’s Tiffany Haddish! However, I was not prepared for how real she got about her struggles. Some of the subjects discussed are not funny at all. They are real, sad and broke my heart. This book is a must read, but listening to the audio was 10x better. I felt like Tiffany was right next to me reading it. Amazing job!

I am so glad I chose to listen instead of reading this book. Kevin Hart is a riot! Loved every second of the audio.

When I started the book, I wasn't sure if it was my kind of book. Elephants? But I am so glad I stuck with it. First, I have to say that as a mom who loves her child more than anything and who does everything for that child, it was very, very hard for me to understand and connect with Alice. Although I appreciated her passion for her study of elephant grief and the emotional bond she had with Mora (which showed she is capable of love) by the end of the book I felt sorry for her. Shocker moment: the tooth. I had to re-read the part of Virgil realizing he is not of this world. What????? I did not see that coming! Serenity sure is a good psychic!!! Great job Jodi! Excellent book.

Once I started reading it, I could not put it down! This book has everything: real life issues (depression and alcoholism), betrayal, lies, murder, survival. Two lessons learned: 1) people are people watchers so beware AND 2) karma will find you. I 100% recommend this book as your next read.

It took me forever to get into this book. The narration is too long at times and way too descriptive which makes you lose interest in the book. However, the second half of the book is fantastic. And the end? Brilliant!!

I didn't expect to like this book - not my type of read. But it is very well written - it captured my attention from the start and had it until the end. The only downfall is that as a woman living in the U.S., I can't do anything to make the abuse of these women go away.
