Story
I spent five years saving up for a European vacation. But instead of drinking champagne on the beach, I get swept into a war of espionage between the humans and the fey. It turns out, I have a magic power needed to fight an evil fey king. I'm quickly whisked off to an elite spy academy in a hidden realm. There, in the ancient and gothic halls of Avalon Tower, snobbery and brutal competitions are among the oldest traditions.

The story is not predictable and startling at times. It ends on a cliff which I always hate but the story is so good I can’t wait to listen to the next book.

Story
On the worst birthday of my life, I come home to find my boyfriend in bed with another woman. Within hours, I’m drunk, homeless, and pledging to stay single forever. And that is when the dangerously sexy Seelie King rolls through town, looking for fae like me. Every generation, the king holds a competition for Seelie queen. But for reasons he won’t explain, Torin is looking for a charade, not a real marriage. So when I drunkenly sling insults his way, I have his attention.

The voice actors are really good. The story adapts well to dramatization. Truly enjoyed the movie in my mind. I would have liked pictures of the characters to enhance the story.

Story
I kept smiling when I caught my fiancé coming down my sister’s chimney on Christmas Eve. I gave polite congratulations when they got engaged. And I even offered to help decorate for their Christmas wedding despite the fact that was supposed to be my dream wedding. But when my sister cuts up my great-grandmother’s one-hundred-year-old wedding dress and turns it into a skank show, even though that was the dress I was going to wear on my wedding day? Well, this elf is torching down the North Pole.

Favorite holiday book, it’s family chaos
Reviewed: 11-30-23
Gracie is such an interesting evolving character as is
Hudson. Gracie’s family is a fun conglomeration of stereotypical chaotic types with conservative grandma verses free wheeling liberated grandma. Over nosy relatives, overly sexual relatives and a brood of judgmental female relatives. Gracie is the good girl, the giver, the cook, baker, and decorator. Extremely controlled by parents that make demands on her. Hudson is the bad boy on a secret mission, who helps Gracie find her backbone with her family. It’s a fun listen.

She’s quirky overtly sexual and lacking manners, he’s stodgy, loyal, professional with a alpha dominate side
Reviewed: 06-14-23
Lilly and Keller appear as opposites from the beginning but she is exactly what he needs. She’s a free spirit he’s composed. She pushes his boundaries and he tries to restrain himself. It’s a fun read but the narration is excellent and enhances the story. It’s a very sexual story as both H/H are into dominance and submission. The heroine is very insecure and when Keller has a break with his insecurities it creates the crisis between them. I enjoyed the story.

Story
When Blair Beaufort literally crashes into Bellamy Creek wearing a ball gown and a tiara, I should have towed her car, said goodnight, and sent her packing. I’m a mechanic, not a hotel manager. I've got enough on my plate trying to keep my shop from going under, my overbearing mother off my back, and my baseball team in contention for the league championship. I don’t have time for a former debutante with zero street smarts and a cash flow problem, even if she is crazy beautiful. But I know better than to think it can last. She wants a fairy tale, and I’m no prince.

Story
A successful writer accidentally sends her new (and super-dreamy) editor the wrong manuscript. Instead of the full-length paranormal novel she promised Longstrand Publishing, she sends the fan fiction she’s written about her crush…on him—including every detail of the hot, steamy “physical activity” she’s fantasized about happening between them.

Excellent story and acting

The heroine is an author on the verge of major success. She is shy introverted and has a disorder that makes her faint when stressed. The object of her fantasies and crush is her new Editor who is a southern gentlemen. She’s suppose to be writing a sequel to her past series but she’s not motivated or engaged with he concept. Instead she’s writing a personal book fulfilling fantasies about her Editor which she accidentally sends to him. This book is a slow burn with incredibly likable characters. It’s mature, sensitive, endearing and very engaging, enhanced by the narrators expressive readings. What’s exciting is the little insights to writing a rom-com the heroine shared as she expressed how her life followed troupes. It’s a book in a book well worth the read.

England, 1815. In the war against France, Heloise Hampden is a high-value asset to the Crown. When she cracks the enemy’s most recent communication, French agents are sent to silence her. But it’s the agent assigned to protect Heloise who poses the greatest threat to her heart: William de l’Isle, Viscount Ravenwood. Heloise has quarreled with the man they call Raven since childhood, yet always maintained a chaste distance. She’s sure nothing will change, thanks to the disfiguring scar on her face.

Outstanding story of complex characters
Reviewed: 09-03-22
The hero Raven is emotionally scarred and uses the code name Hades. He views himself as dark and sinister and not good enough for the women he loves, The heroine Heloise “Hellcat” is brilliant but a tad naive and physically scarred but filled with light and goodness . She has loved Raven all her adult life and has felt rejected and unrequited love for him. The story is an adventure. It’s a best friends little sister/ bodyguard / second chance romance. I have read this book at least four times and every time I find some new insights into the characters’ psyche. I love how they attempt to hide their feelings for each other ( spoiler) it appears everyone knows but them. The ending is just so good and different. The audio read is excellent and enhances the story.

Captivating tale of emotional baggage and pride that halted a romance
Reviewed: 06-02-22
Second chance for Rhys and Julianna but their pride and past emotional baggage plus lack of communication causes chaos. They have to grow and learn to communicate and then share honest feelings and in their case it takes a village.
