Story
From the depths of despair to the pinnacle of power, Matt's ascension to Dungeon Lord has been a crucible of blood and terror. But the higher he climbs, the more precarious his perch becomes. As winter's fingers close around his hard-won domain, Matt and his beleaguered allies yearn for respite. Instead, they face a nightmare beyond imagining. The Coronaught infection sweeps through the land like wildfire, twisting human flesh into abominations that defy sanity. Grotesque mutations stalk the shadows, their hunger insatiable. In this maelstrom of horror, Matt must be more than a leader.

I have been impatiently waiting for the Age of Glass sequel and boy was the waitworth every single second. Rise of mankind is one of the very few audio books that bring a wash of emotions with it. happiness, sorrow, anger, compassion are just a few. Jez makes you feel connected to his characters and I wish I was not already finished with the book. I will just have to go listen to them all over again!

perfect amount of action, story, love, still needs more comedy but hey can you ever really have enough comedy in these type of books?
Eric is absolutely KILLED it AGAIN.
to bring both Montana and Clyde together I'm sure was a struggle but he did it effortlessly.
easy to tell who is talking (between Clyde and Montana) 100 out of 100 amazing listen

I never thought after listening to book 1 I would be finished with book 6 not even 4 months later. I'm hooked and anyone who gives this series a chance will be too. there are parts of the story where it gets a little dragged on with boring stuff but you can't have a main character that fights all the time!! the author wants you to feel like you are with Jake all the time even when the main storytelling is focused on someone else at a point in the story. what a great listen! Time to get on to book 7 😁

Story
Now the site of EBO’s first completed Red Cathedral, the Onyx Delta has become the center of the virtual world, and the entire player base is descending on Ned’s city to try their hand at the fearsome new raid and reap the game-changing rewards within. At the same time, a powerful, menacing guild is running roughshod over the western continents, razing every city in their wake and winning Frank’s obnoxiously loud approval from afar. But Ned knows that it’s only a matter of time before their forces sail east to the delta and attempt to burn down everything he’s built.

Story
The manhunt has officially begun. Now the target of a game-wide Holy War, Ned is forced to flee the Onyx Sands. The odds are stacked against him; Tyrann has tens of thousands of followers, a religion that’s spreading like wildfire, and a powerful god that will be stepping into the world of EBO in a matter of days. Meanwhile, Ned’s allies are a squirrel-exploding bard, a repurposed home security system who takes her instructions far too literally, and a wildly unreliable talking axe named Frank. But even as the inevitable conflict draws closer, change is coming to EBO.

Say hello to the new and improved Clyde Hatchett...who's only a level-four nothing. He's on a (seemingly never-ending) quest to get back to his life in Glaton. And now, all that stands in his way are the Empire-hating Carchedonians, a death cult, and a traitorous party member. Oh, and a mythical city that very probably doesn't exist.

So many emotions run through you while listening to this book, the story telling is amazing. Bronson is an absolute treat and I'm pretty sure he was in the military. his explanations and pronunciation are spot on. most memorable moment.. when fitz got his new legs.. I could not help but tear up.. Best zombie book so far I have listened to on Audible.

Clyde Hatchett has known he's had a corpse-king inside him, slowly trying to take over his body and raise an army of undead for a while now. And while that may seem like a rather, um, urgent matter to attend to, it's only now, after being forced out of Glaton by his best friends and then having to rescue someone's sister from a bad marriage, that he's actually in a place to deal with it. And he better deal with it quickly, since his entire left hand is starting to look like it belongs to the Crypt-Keeper.

Clyde Hatchett and the rest of the Skull & Thrones better play their cards right - otherwise their newly formed guild will fall in a war with the Iron Silents, the overpowered immortals fond of spawn-camping and, well, anything that puts them ahead. So much for resting on laurels, huh?
