Every chapter ends with a love scene. To much it is unnecessary. And gets kind of annoying.

Probably my favourite series that I’ve read read that I can remember. It definitely compares to the rest of the series that Sarah has written.

This book gives insight to what royal life is really like and a perspective I've never thought of, how it's not all diamonds and palaces. Does he have privilege? Yes absolutely! but does he?! Is it a privilege being born into a system where every single thing you do is under a microscope? Where you're ridiculed and judged for normal things everyday people do, then twisted and manipulated to fit a narrative that could be completely false? Is it privilege when every mistake you make in your personal life is blasted all over the newspaper and internet? Is it privilege when the media thinks they own inmate parts of your private life, like demanding your wife go from a hospital bed to a makeup chair for a picture of your newborn baby? Let's remember, he was born into this. It wasn't a choice he made.

Based on interviews I've seen between he and his wife I thought would be annoyed by pulling the racism card, but in this situation I was horrified by the things they said about her. How they harassed her endlessly just like they did to his mother. To says it's disgusting doesn't capture how awful the memes and headlines were. No one deserves to be treated with gross disrespect for any reason! Based on what he wrote it appears that his family was able to protect them somewhat and chose to leak things to the media, where they published their own narrative.

To the people who criticize him saying it must be super easy because he was born into privileged life clearly cannot look at things objectively and understand there can be 2 truths at the same time.

Where does If I Can't Have You: rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

10

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

I've heard of this story, but never really read anything about it till now. I downloaded it based on the reviews and the fact that this guy was able to do what he did is insane. It was a really good book, really sad in the way this women and her children lived and how they suffered at the hands of the man that was supposed to love them the most.

What about Laural Merlington and Kevin Pierce ’s performance did you like?

They did a really good job in reading the story and making the emotion be felt. I could not stop listening.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes! I was literally in my car listening on the way home from work yelling at the radio, it has a lot of "DUH" moments. When I was listening to the way it all ended and how tragic it was a bawled.

Any additional comments?

The fact that this evil man was able to do what he did to this women and her babies is disgusting. I hope he burns in hell for what he did to her, her children and her family. He is manipulative and was all about what he wanted and would make others suffer for his own entertainment, he a vile man does the devils work. I pray for this family, I know Susan and her babies and in the glory of heaven together with no pain and suffering. Praise God!
