About this listen

The stunning third book in the sexy, action-packed Crescent City series, following the global best sellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath.

Bryce Quinlan never expected to see a world other than Midgard, but now that she has, all she wants is to get back. Everything she loves is in Midgard: her family, her friends, her mate. Stranded in a strange new world, she's going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that's no easy feat when she has no idea whom to trust.

Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he's in the Asteri's dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce's fate. He's desperate to help her, but until he can escape the Asteri's leash, his hands are quite literally tied.

In this sexy, breathtaking sequel to the number one best sellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath, Sarah J. Maas' Crescent City series reaches new heights as Bryce and Hunt's world is brought to the brink of collapse—with its future resting on their shoulders.

Ummm…

So I will say I loved the narrator and the character development. The ACOTAR addition was a bit much in the last book. Now aliens?! Not sure if I’m continuing series.

Elizabeth Evans brings the story to life

If Elizabeth Evans is narrating, you know it’ll be worth it. She continues to bring the characters to life that SJM has created for everyone!

Good Read but a little dissapointed

It was a good read. I went into this thinking there was a fourth book to be released so I was surprised to find this was the conclusion. And if there is a fourth book, I have no idea where it would be going. I also expected more of a crossover with ACOTAR and was highly dissapointed with that story line in the book. All in all, glad I read the series.

Worth the wait!

Book 3 of the Crescent City series is going to live rent free in my head just like Books 1 and 2. SJM is a genius! She broke my heart and put it back together over and over in this book and I love her for it!

Typical Maas and Evans

I love Maas’ ability to draw you in and make you love and hate characters. Only thing I hated about this book is the sudden change in POV when you’re into part of the story. I had to pause and regroup my imagination a few times to follow the right part of the story. Evans’ performance was outstanding as usual. The amount of different voices she has is astounding.
