Story
The rich bloodsuckers don’t want to pay taxes. Too bad, so sad. They’re the least of my problems right now. At the wise suggestion of my beloved mate, I indulge in a little retail therapy so I don’t dismember the pissed-off crew of greedy Vamps who don’t want to pay their fair share. How could a trip to the happiest place on earth a.k.a. Target go wrong? Let me count the ways....

Story
Getting dumped by the Demon of my dreams wasn’t exactly in the game plan. Game plans suck. Throwing caution to the wind is my new motto. I used to be a semi-happily single Vampyre. As the Princess of the Australian Dominion, I have an enormous palace, a fabulous wardrobe, I don’t look a day over 30, and I have gobs of friends — most of whom would be happy to see me permanently deceased. However, they hide it well. In the violent world of the undead, I consider it a win.

Story
With my life back to normal - normal being a very relative word - one would think I’d catch a break. One would be very wrong. With an angel gunning for me and a demon in my bed, life couldn’t be more complicated. Not to mention, I’m going to have to make a rather large life choice. Do I want to live forever? Does anyone? Forever is a very long time. Whatever. I’ll think about it tomorrow...or next week...or next month. As long as I have my girlfriends, my dogs, a super-sized case of merlot, and my deceased squatters, I’m good to go.

I would love to see Daisy just kick butt and move on with here man. That's not how it will work will it.
Series is moving along nicely and of course it leaves you wanting more.

Story
Never in my 40 years did I think my new normal would be gluing body parts back onto ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue and a strong stomach. Never thought I’d date the Grim Reaper and that I would be the one to blow it. I mean, how idiotic does one have to be to get dumped by a dude who lives in Hell? Going about business as usual is not usual in any way. No one is who they seem to be...and to be honest, neither am I. What I’d known to be true has turned out to be myth. The angels are frightening, and the demons are hot.

Great book and picks up just like you would want after book 1. Robyn does like to leave a cliff hanger of sorts but she won't make you wait to long for the next one.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Robyn does it again with this new series. Middle aged Daisy is just what we need and doesn't disappoint with her friends.
The one thing that got me is the narrator, don't get me wrong she is a great but she sounds more like a 20 yr old and not a, I'm a 40 yr old woman that has lived through some tough time by losing my husband.

A dare is a dare. No self-respecting, slightly chubby, good-lookin’, crime lovin’ cat would ever pass up a dare. So I didn’t. Now, me and my boys are in hot water trying to figure out how to live on the right side of the law for a whole freakin’ week! This is complicated by a couple of hairy issues. Throw in a cryptic message from the Goddess, humans invading our town and evil, sticky-fingered groundhogs, and we have a hot mess on our paws.

I enjoy this series and the boys did need their own story to help the witches and the town with trouble.
If you are not one for the excessive use of cuss words and cringe at some potty humor this might not be for you but seeing this is not Robyn's first book you know what to expect.
Can bad cats be good for 1 week, don't think so but they will try their best and maybe meet up with the bad kitties and make a new friend.

Hollywood resident Pete Tyler is used to wanting what he shouldn't have—human blood—and what he can't have—a juicy cheeseburger, or the gorgeous Angie who serves those burgers down at the Starbucket on the Sunset Strip. He’s become comfortable with the lonely but predictable way he's survived since he died in 1973, when vampire lord Carson Fitzgerald turned him.

Pete just wants to work his night job in Hollywood not bring any attention to himself and just admire Angie, the girl he sees most nights, and has a crush on. Is that to much to ask of anyone.
This has some great characters and the narrator is one that you could listen to with no complaints. The story progresses and with the end of the book I am wanting book 2 and I hope it comes out. For now I will grab the book and continue Pete's journey.

The narrator almost made me quit
Reviewed: 05-25-20
I give this a solid 3.5 and if it was a different narrator or even if she changed her dialect and tried to make the changes between characters it would help.
Began this and for the first 4 chapters was a bit thrown off by which character was speaking/talking and doing what. I did read the book and liked it so I jumped back onto the audio to finish.
Was not disappointed as the storyline grew and was happy with the ending.

The love of my dastardly immortal life is eating everything that isn't nailed down and tried to behead me over a chocolate croissant. While I take chocolate croissants very seriously, I do believe decapitation is somewhat harsh. My daughters, the Seven Deadly Sins, are driving me to drink. Getting them mated off and the hell out of Hell is at the top on my agenda. The one thing that is keeping me sane - sane being a relative word - is my upcoming special day.

What in the salty seas could be more important than presents at Christmas time? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Tis’ Christmas time on Mystical Isle, and just like the fat bastard in red, I’ve made a list, and now I shall check it...twice. Yeah, twice. I might wear a diaper, but I’m not an arse. It seems I have everything under control and Christmas on Mystical Isle will be unforgettable, or I’m not the Well-Hung God of the Sea, Poseidon.
