Story
A year ago, I thought my whole world had ended. My family was dead. The life that I knew had been changed forever. Now I know that was just the beginning. I faced down the devil who destroyed my family, and I f--king lost. I've become the thing I hate most in this world, and there is no turning back. Even a contract with a demon couldn't save me from the creature that now inhabits my body.

good story and premise

I really liked this story, it says a lot for the writing quality if the protagonist can make me grind my teeth with loathing but still enjoy the story. Tor and Mav were very dynamic, and Olivia.. oh, my heart. They were so much more dynamic. It's a good push back exercise on characters that roll with changes. For me, Barbie was difficult to endure. Overall a great series, though! I very much recommend it. I have to give kudos to a story that can make me this angry and engaged.

Story
I can't say my parents never warned me about vampires. I just never believed them. Not - that is - until six months ago when vampires broke into my home and killed my family. Thanks to all the skills my parents taught me, I managed to escape but I couldn't save them. Two vampires down and the rest of the world to go. My bid for revenge is going to have to wait, though, because until I turn 18, I'm being placed in the loving care of Elizabeth and Jonathan McKnight - godparents I didn't even know existed.

I really enjoyed this story. Barbie seems a bit static, even for someone with trauma, though. Torino and Maverick have great character development, though!

Story
I never wanted to be a killer. Not until my entire family was slaughtered. Now, though? Now, killing is what I live for. And I've gone so far down my path for vengeance that there's no going back. I made a deal with a demon, and I liked it. The power that comes with demon possession is heady. The more I use it, the more addicted I become, even if it does come with a little catch. Sex demons need sex to survive, after all.

So... I hate Barbie to the enth degree. I ground my teeth listening to her angst and circular logic (wah, the boys have no choice but to bone me, wah, but I never ask them their thoughts or opinions about it, wah). Torin and Maverick are pretty cool and more dynamic with better character growth. I didn't feel like she was a dynamic person. I think I was maybe just more emotionally mature at her age. Also the foster kids in the group home near my high school that I knew communicated better than her. I always enjoy this author's smut style.

I really enjoyed this series. This was an interesting twist on the dieties and I really enjoyed it. I have found I enjoy this author for her creativity in story and the quality of the romance and sex scenes. This is something that I don't see often and frankly am impressed by. I recommend her to my friends and now to you!
