Story
It was summer in the mountains when five small children vanished from their nursery school picnic. The heat was stifling that day, the tinkle of an ice-cream van in the air.... Three-and-a-half years later, in the dead of winter, the children are returned to their families...one by one. All except for Ivy - the granddaughter of Homicide Detective Kate Wakeland. The other four children say Ivy is dead.

Reviewed: 01-28-23
I have listened to several books by Julia and have not been disappointed by any. This author maintains a flow that keeps you connected to the plot without repeating each episode which I find annoying. And Rebecca Gibel's narration is so good giving each character a flawless representation. I look forward to more!!

Story
It’s been a decade since Trumanell Branson disappeared, leaving only a bloody handprint behind. Her pretty face still hangs like a watchful queen on the posters on the walls of the town’s Baptist church, the police station, and in the high school. They all promise the same thing: We will find you. Meanwhile, Tru's brother, Wyatt, lives as a pariah in the desolation of the old family house, cleared of wrongdoing by the police but tried and sentenced in the court of public opinion and in a new documentary about the crime.

Perfect
Reviewed: 01-14-23
This book was the best I have listened to in a while. First, I did not see the ending coming. Second, the plot itself, the flow of the plot, the narration. Third, no repetition of the story line over and over, resulting in even more interest. Fourth, the details, big and small, that makeup the characters. The perfect book!!

Story
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

Touches the Heart Deeply
Reviewed: 08-09-22
This was so good. The author, narrator, and story grip your heart and make you feel it could happen to any family in most countries. The average person does not know law or that the governments are so over burdened, that there are so many layers involved in one final decision, that the objectives are somehow lost. Best book I have listened to in a while.

Everything about this book is great!!

I absolutely love how the narration was done. Going from regular narration to a scene where the characters converse with each other was a great decision. It really cemented the plot. Every chapter reveals an addition to the plot and makes you rethink how it will end. Don't miss it. Every mother, daughter and woman will identify with a character in some way. Again, great book, great author, great narration. And it is included with Audible membership. Nothing to lose.
