After returning from the basajaunak lands, it's clear that Jessie and her crew need to find an alliance quickly. They need to head to Kingsley's in less than a couple of months. If they go as they are, they'll never be enough to save Austin's brother from total annihilation. Luckily, Jessie has a pile of connection requests waiting for her attention. The gargoyle cairns want to meet her. She has an opportunity to gain a little help. Unluckily, the cairns don't have much interest beyond meeting the new kid on the block.

Omg! Roan is soooooooooooo HOT! Definitely my new book boyfriend :). As the pieces of Cassandra’s past start to come together, our tumultuous duo face even greater threats. There are traitors in their midst, heart breaking suffering, and a much anticipated, VERY yummy scene that is totally worth the three book build up.

I thought this would be a simple profiling case. Just another Jack the Ripper wannabe, prowling London’s streets, searching for easy kills. I was wrong. This killer is fae, and he’s as elusive as smoke on the wind. But I’m an FBI profiler, and it’s my job to track him down. It doesn’t matter that one of the main suspects - a lethally alluring fae - is trying to seduce me...or kill me, I’m not sure which. I won’t be stopped, not even when panic roils through the streets of London or when the police start to suspect me.

I’m so happy the author decided to continue in the DDVN universe. It’s been an epic adventure from the first book and this newest installment does not disappoint! The narrator had her work cut out for her in this book keeping track of the voices and personalities of so many different beloved characters. As always, she rose to the occasion perfectly. This book has all of the elements I’ve come to expect from this amazing author: excitement, adventure, snark, hilarity, and a couple of super-hot, plot-appropriate sex scenes. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

I loved this book even more than the first one in this new series. We get to know some of the hilariously quirky supporting characters better and there are a few fun new faces added to keep things interesting. The lead character is starting to find her mojo in the strange new magical world she suddenly has found herself at the center of. Can’t wait for the next installment!

I’ve literally read every book by this author (at least twice), and this series has quickly become one of my favorites of hers. This latest installment did not disappoint! It’s fast paced, action packed and has good plot development. I love the seamless tie in to the Guild Codex series. I cant wait until the last book in the series comes out later this year.
