This entire series is amazing so it's no surprise that this installment was just as fantastic as the others. The humor, action, magic, with a dash of sexy make for a can't "put down" read. The narrator does an excellent job as well. Can't wait for the next one!!

I am so happy that this book was released early. It did not disappoint. love the narrator and I can't get enough of this series. Huge fan of mythology and I like the modern spin on it. The humor is always there. I laughed I cried it was unexpected. Nothing is predictable except for everyone wants to join Lexi merry band of misfits. Who wouldn't. All I want to say to K.F Breene is that I love all your series and that I can't wait to see what you give us next. Well I'm about to re-listen to this story again.

I have truly enjoyed this series and was not disappointed with this book. Be prepared to binge read.

The characters are well developed, witty, and inspire some laugh out loud moments. There were a few unexpected plot turns and I can’t wait for the finale.

You would definitely be missing out if you read this book without reading the others, but major plot points that require knowledge of information from prior books in the series provide a little background that would allow you to follow the series.

I enjoyed hearing different elements of the story from the main characters rather than just one viewpoint.

If you enjoy a good lighthearted romance you will love this series.

First, despite my less than flattering header, i really did enjoy this book. Of all of K.F. Breene's books this is by far my favorite, and Alexis and Kieran are by far my favorite couple. I love the humor and heart of these stories.
However, it has become rather clear that Breene definitely has a type for her Main Characters, that is to say someone who usually has no idea what they are doing and more often than not succeeds simply because their level of incompetence is so overwhelmingly stupid that their enemies have no way of predicting what they will do. Now while that is certainly hilarious for a book or two, i find that Alexis still needing to get what amounts to basic magic knowledge from the only non magical person in her group, a 15 year old child no less. somewhat annoying. I mean she is going to be the co ruler of one of the most powerful magic communities in the world. It makes her seem both lazy and kind of heartless. Especially sense that lack of knowledge got someone killed in the last book. I don't know if i am being to harsh but i just found myself several times saying out loud "come on, really, REALLY!?"
Still as i said this is my favorite K.F. Breene series and one of my all time favorite series. I just found the usual endearing silliness somewhat less so. I am looking forward to the next book, i will just have to remember not to expect anything different so i don't disappoint myself again.

This series is exceptional. I have read and now purchased on audio the 5th and 6th of this series. I read voraciously and would safely say this series is goi g to be revisited often. It is snarky and super sexy with great adventure and dark deeds that need strong retribution from a great crew. This is my favorite set of works from this author! I hope she continues to spin off this group! Thanks
