Story
Sammy Howell died at 89, but she signed a contract to continue on as a digital avatar. She didn't expect it would be the bloodiest wild west game ever. Sammy Howell was widowed a few years back and threw her everything into being the best grandmother that she could. She buried her sadness and had fun. Then she was diagnosed with cancer. Death was knocking on her door and the idea of putting her granddaughter, Winifred, through everything the elderly widow had just been through broke her heart.

Story
As management reels from the unexpected conclusion of the seventh level, the surviving crawlers stumble onto the eighth and find themselves scattered. It’s a map based on Earth’s final days before the collapse, where ethereal, intangible ghosts of humanity go about their lives, oblivious of the impending doom. Living amongst these ghosts are monsters based in Earth lore. “Legendary” creatures tied to the geographical location they inhabit. Each team of crawlers is given a task: Find and capture six of these beasts.

Story
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Despite being an expert shoveler, it’s not his top career choice, and he’s anxious to take any "legitimate" criminal work that comes along. In that vein, he finds himself hired by a mysterious woman who wants him to recover an even more mysterious trunk that was stolen from her mansion.

GREAT book, Bad edits
Reviewed: 09-05-23
I've got all of the previous Hard Luck Hank books and I love them. Liam Owen's voice acting is always spot on and the story is always amazing.
This would have been 5 stars across the board if the editors had caught all the repeated lines. Almost every chapter has Liam Owen reading at least 1 line twice and the editors didn't catch it at all.
