As My Silver Lining started with Cutler ‘Beefcake’ Heart from the Magnolia Falls series I was melting and instantly felt connected to this story. This book was perfection in my eyes, I was literally grinning the entire time with so much flirty banter between Rafe Chadwick and Lulu Sonnet I couldn’t help but fall in love. As Lulu finds herself in Rosewood River before she embarks on a new life adventure she is greeted with Rosewood River’s fun, charming, and SEXY Chadwick brother and the way these two instantly start bickering with each other had me rolling.

Vanessa Edwin and Sean Masters narrate My Silver Lining in duet and absolutely nailed it. Vanessa brought out so much of Lulu’s confidence, and sass, expressing the boss babe she was, while giving us the epic flirty banter and the tender moments when she opens up about her past. Sean brought it all as he narrated Rafe, giving us his serious mature side, yet loosening the reins when things between him and Lulu heat up, I was living for the adorable ways these too were together and when Sean’s protective growl came out, there was no stopping Rafe and the feelings he was having.

I absolutely loved this book, the laughs and joy it brought me, the narration experience through Sean and Vanessa incredible voices and the true love these characters had for their friends and family, I loved everything.

Oh Merit you just gripped my heart strings. I love a childhood friends to lovers story, and this one takes you on an emotional journey, sad and sweet.
When Mavericks mom heartbreakingly shares the news that her cancer is back and with force he finds himself visiting home more, as he visits it’s only natural for his families long time best friends to be around too, this also means their daughter Stevie, Mavericks childhood best friend and now arch nemesis. I fell hard and fast for Maverick and the sweet bond he had with his mom, he was scared and silently suffering but a few dates out with Stevie and life seemed to be getting brighter, but when the easiness of a new “relationship” stalls and Mavericks world falls apart, he has to figure out the next steps, because for him, life goes on.
This story broke my heart and I still loved every minute of it. I loved the bickering back and forth between Stevie and Maverick, I loved the bond and friendship they worked to build back, the found family with our past favorites and OH MY, the epilogue is one of the BEST I have ever read. I read this on KU and listened to the audio with Megan Wicks and Robert Hatchet narrating in dual and ROCKING all of it, the flirty banter, the deep conversations, the sadness and truly expressing the love.

Top tier story and narration

I am in awe of Brit Benson, of Mollie Stark and Jason Clarke, of Claire and Jonah and the entire Hometown Heartless family, For Wrath and Redemption just imprinted itself into my soul, not just because of the incredible story Brit wrote but all the details as well. This was very much a redemption story. Redeeming Claire from past bad behaviors and while doing so Claire and Jonah saved each other along the way. It was heartbreaking and soul grabbing while shinning a beautiful light through to the end, where it gave you hope and love and peace.

Mollie Stark was the absolute PERFECT Claire.
She has this raspiness about her voice that makes you feel all the emotions, the dark sadness of so much self doubt that Claire experiences daily, yet Molly snapped Claire into the “confident” bad as$ take no sh!t person she hides behind. I’m in awe of Claire’s love and tenderness towards Jonah and Molly expressed that so perfectly.

Jason Clarke is giving Jonah EVERYTHING, the vulnerability, the pain behind his demons, his deep cocky growls of frustration. Jonah’s mind is a dark place but when joyful moments happen Jason brought so much of that to life, slowly watching Jonah unravel his pain into the happiness he truly deserves. Jason’s flirty tones are epic too, and there are moments that will live rent free in my head.

ALC AUDIOBOOK REVIEW:

Wow! This book! I don’t believe I have read anything like it, it’s unhinged, toxic, chaotic, and I couldn’t stop! Check your trigger warnings before diving in. I have been on a DJ KRIMMER kick this past year and of course when this one became available I had to check it out, with Marie Hawkins and Joe Arden narrating I knew it would be worth the craziness and I was right. This is a short novella and I listened in one setting, absolutely captured by it.
Beatitude is a wild, crazy, ride and Joe’s voice as Rowan just consumed all of those emotions with his dark raspy legit pshycotic tones with the side of crazed laugh that just made you realize this guy has been through the worst of it, and totally nuts, but you still love him. And Marie’s voice as Everly is confident and crazy. Dark, grumpy sexual all with a side of bizarre sweet lust. A darker rasp with tones of defeat but also knowing she’s been through it and only trying to make it. With the duet narration you couldn’t help but feel the emotions of these two feeding off of each other and knowing the bond they have will only better the outcome for Rowan and Everly.

Thank You @bluenoseaudio for the opportunity to listen and review.

ALC AUDIOBOOK REVIEW:

Love in Italy • Book 2

Narrated By: Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott

Oliver and Stori We’re high school lovers but when Stori family life takes a turn for the worse they leave town without a word, and unfortunately that means Stori must leave Oliver too.
After 17 Years?!
They are reacquainted and the moment their eyes connect, all their love and memories come rushing back. The chemistry is strong but the hurt is deep and before anything can be fixed between the two of them, the conversation of what happened all those years ago must be had. I loved the automatic chemistry between Oliver and Stori, it was obvious they were soulmates. What I loved most about them was that no matter what was happening they put each other first. Narrated in dual by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott with all the fun and sexy tones, they expressed these too so well. I loved having our past favorites Fig and Luca along for the ride and I adore all the second Chance love stories coming back full cirrcle.

Someone take me to Italy please!
What a fun adventure to go on with Leslie Pike’s beautiful writing and Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden narrating.
Since they were 15 Luca has crushed on Caroline but as life moves quickly nothing came of the school boy crush, but 10 years later when Luca hears a familiar voice in his uncles? hat shop, it’s the beautiful Caroline all grown up. Hesitant on the re connection Caroline’s walls are up high, but slowly Luca pushes his way into her heart and from that moment on, nothing else matters.
This was such a sweet story, with so many beautiful tender family moments between both characters, something I love about Leslie’s writing is the joy she brings out of the families. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden were so fun to listen to with their Italian accents, I highly enjoyed this dual narration for the fact that we got to experience both Joe and Maxine’s range with the accents. Today is a beautiful sunny day where I live and this book was the exact vibe I needed, I am jumping right into the next book, The Adventure as I am not ready to leave Italy.

Jewel E. Ann did it again, and Wildfire is quickly becoming a favorite series of mine. I knew going into this I was going to love Marren, from the first book, From Air, her sassy personality and all the banter but I didn’t realize what a match of a man she was going to find, oh Ozzy! Ozzy surprised me in the best way. Someone who has gone thru the unthinkable, being a responsible single dad with the weight of the world on his shoulders he is also fun and flirty and I was grinning so many times throughout this journey. And Lola, sweet Lola Ozzy’s adorable little girl stole the show. This incredible 9 year old (who happens to be the same age as my son) had me laughing out loud at some of the similar conversations we have in our house. On a serious note, this little girl has been through it, but she has so much love surrounding her you know in the end she is going to thrive. The narration was so wonderful, I loved the combo of both Benjamin Sands and Amy McFadden, feeling their smiles behind the sweet flirting, the truthful moment and the banter with sassy little Lola. This was truly a gem to listen to on audio and follow along on KU.

Omg the epilogue just did me in. What an adorable story. I love a pregnancy troupe and this one was adorable. When Rush and Faye cross paths they are both in horrible relationships only trying to get out, but their instant connection was there. Months later they crossed paths again this time a drunken hook up leads to Faye finding out she’s pregnant and their journey begins.Rush was absolutely everything Faye needed in her life, warm, protective, caring, he was amazing to her. While Faye still faces trauma from a horrible childhood and sometimes feeling alone she had a lot of growing up to do to truly let rush in, but when she did, it was magic. And their epilogue was proof of that. The next book Merit is set to come out soon and I am so excited after reading this! I have to know more about maverick!

The Foul Out, book 3 in The Boston Revs, Three Outs Series was such a sweet book, yes it had all the sexy tension, cocky flirting we look forward too and the fun friends group we have grown to love but it also had so much heart to it. Harper a single Mom of 2 adorable children, is tirelessly trying to navigate parenthood with her intelligent daughter Piper with ASD and Sam her sweet little boy, so when a handsome cocky baseball player squeezes his way into her life, the last thing she has time for is a relationship, but Boston Revs right fielder, Kyle Bosco will do whatever it takes to win this mama over. I loved the pinning Kyle did to work his magic into not only Harper’s life but into her kids hearts. Having experienced what Haper deals with on a day to day basis Kyle understood the patience and support it took and slowly made a huge impact on this family. Narrated By Stephen Dexter and Erin Mallon they both did a beautiful job keeping this book fun and flirty while also dealing with serious topics. Stephen was able to express Kyle in a way that not very many people knew him to be, the playboy, overly competitive sometimes a jerk ball player, had a soft spot for the ones he loved and even behind the sarcasm covering up his true heart, Stephen was able to really bring the emotions to the table with his voice. Throughout The Foul Out, Harper had so many different emotions she dealt with daily and Erin Mallon was able to express them so beautifully, from putting on a brave face even when exhausted, or trying to be there in a different way for one child than the other, all while trying to open her heart up to love, she was overwhelmed, sad, happy, giddy, strong, independent, confident and a loving mother, and Erin had me feeling each one of those emotions while listening.

Dang DJ you just upped the game in the Hel’s Ink series with Derek and Indy and had me laughing, crying and grinning from ear to ear, especially with that bonus epilogue.
Derek a tattoo artist working at Hel’s Ink is distant, not wanting or trying to build relationships and completely fine being secluded In the darkness alone. And Indy, a vibrant young woman trying to hide her pain and frustration with multiple sclerosis, is the sunlight beaming on everyone around her. These two couldn’t be more opposite but the way they come together is beautiful and inspiring. As moments go by Indy can’t help but think Derek just doesn’t like her, not knowing that inside he is suffering, and although Indy won’t ask for any help, when Derek’s help is her last resort they both can’t help but be drawn to each other.
I am an absolute sucker for a broken hero, broody and cold only to find his light and what a light she was. Joe Arden and Mollie Stark narrate Derek in duet and when I say they nailed it, I’m saying they NAILED IT! Wow, Joe Arden’s performance as Derek may be my new favorite, the absolute heartbreak I felt in his emotions, the pain, the anxiety as well as the desire and genuine love broke me and put me back tougher again. The tenderness and vulnerability in each tone Joe portrayed as Derek towards Indy was heartfelt and emotional, bringing literal chills to my skin. Mollie Stark has such a beautiful unique voice giving us so much as Indy, her sassiness, goofy quirks, the kindness that comes so natural, yet she was really able to dig deep into the darkness of her emotions and the worry of what’s to come for Indy. I loved how Mollie could make us feel the pain yet bring forward the joy in her voice to bring Indy back to better days. I loved this book and with each new book i feel closer and closer to the incredible friendships happening at Hel’s Ink Tattoo shop.
