Story
For generations, everything has been getting faster, better, and cheaper. Finally, we reached the point that almost anything you could ever want could be sent to your home within days - even hours - of when you decided you wanted it. America made that happen, but now America has lost interest in keeping it going.

Story
Less than 50,000 years ago mankind had no art, no religion, no sophisticated symbolism, no innovative thinking. Then, in a dramatic and electrifying change, described by scientists as "the greatest riddle in human history," all the skills and qualities that we value most highly in ourselves appeared already fully formed, as though bestowed on us by hidden powers. In Visionary, Graham Hancock sets out to investigate this mysterious "before-and-after moment" and to discover the truth about the influences that gave birth to modern human mind.

I love and appreciate all the labor and effort GH puts into his books. This rerelease was mind blowing. His books always leave me feeling more curious and more expanded than ever. From cave art to aliens to psychedelics, this book ties it all together in a way that will have you questioning how you perceive the world.

Story
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

This audiobook is a gift. Listening to Mariah Carey narrate her own story is a gift. One of the best memoirs I’ve ever listened to.

Thank the Goddess!

Lisa Lister’s book Witch spoke so deeply to me that I knew this one would too. I’d been looking, maybe even yearning, for something on this topic for a long time. I have never wanted children, and I think the energy of that decision made me feel like I needed to be in that male energy all the time. The information and wisdom she delivers so gently in this book really hit me. That feeling of “remembering” instead of simply learning. It felt like just what I needed. I have no doubt that the email I was sent suggesting this book wasn’t from audible, but from She. She knew this was what my heart was asking for, and She delivered. I can not recommend this book enough. Lisa Lister is a gift to women.

Great sex education, could be told in quarter of the length
Reviewed: 08-12-19
The author is a sex educator, and it is clear by the way she writes that this is the case. The information she offers is healthy and informative. However, she spends 50% of the book talking about what she wrote in the book (more on that in chapter 5 and again in 9, remember when we talked about that in chapter 4, we’ll see this more on the next page). At first it was funny/quirky, but by the end of the book I just wanted to stop listening. She’s overly repetitive and there just seems to be a lot of filler to make the book longer. This would be great for young girls, or women feeling very confused or lost about their sexuality. Healthy adult females that don’t have questions like this would be better off finding more interesting books on sexuality: Sex at Dawn, Mating in Captivity, or The Ethical Slut.

This book is absolutely brilliant. I love that Dr. Greger narrates it. It has sat so deeply with me. It was on my mind constantly from the second I started reading it. I found myself wanting to talk to everyone about what I was hearing. I had been eating very clean for years, and vegetarian for over a year before listening to this book. I’ve been desperately trying to find information that is this cohesive, straight forward, and profound. Thank you for all of this Dr. Greger. Seriously.
