Story
The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

Story
After some unsettling news brought to them by an unexpected messenger, Prince Edgar fled the Raid Dungeon to hurry back to his kingdom, leaving Derek as the impromptu leader. Being concerned about his people on the outside, Derek chose to rule with an iron fist to finish the dungeon as soon as possible. This choice didn’t make him any friends, but he didn’t need any for it to work.

An absolute "page" turner!
Reviewed: 03-01-25
I love when I find a series that it's difficult to put down! The characters are interesting and intelligent, there's a huge teamwork aspect, and none of the ridiculous stupidity that many authors find necessary to put into their characters for developmental purposes. I get, that you want to see character growth through an arc. perhaps a lot of that happened in one of the series that came before this one. But, I am seeing character development without stupidity and, I love it!

The absolute worst narration I've ever suffered through.
Reviewed: 10-18-24
This narrator seems to be trying to channel his inner William Shatner.
His halting speech pattern is so incredibly distracting that I barely got through this short book.
I honestly don't know if I could continue with the series, as bad as the narration is. Even though the story is okay. Very luciferian, if I'm being honest but so are many of the other books of this genre.

Story
Two hundred years ago, aliens invaded Earth. A violent war followed. The enemy won. Some of us escaped, most of us didn’t. On Proxima they flourished - the invasion forgotten. On Earth we floundered - the horror began. Their world is advanced, peaceful, and secure. Our world is broken, savage, and overrun. A new invasion is coming. A hunger that has swallowed half the universe. They don’t care which planet we live on. They want to end us all. But where there is life, there is hope. And where there is hope, there are heroes. This time, vengeance will be ours.

chapter 33 repeats itself halfway through. you'd think, as much as we pay for these audiobooks, something as simple as that would be caught. Do not have beta listeners? It's kind of ridiculous.

A new, level 250 raid dungeon appeared, and Edgar needed the kingdom’s elite to help clear it before the unstable dungeon overflowed, or even worse, broke. Leaving his shop in the trusting hands of Malorie, and with everyone’s insistence that he go, Derek agreed to the prince’s request and joined him and the others on the raid. However, the dungeon wasn’t what anyone was expecting, and when they went inside, they found that it was a trial dungeon.

Story
Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. None of this mattered much to Derek, aside from making living a little more perilous.

The series starts out okay but the further you get along in it, the more profanity gets inserted by the author to the point that by book 3, it's gratuitous. I'm highly disappointed!
