About this listen

The raid did not turn out to be what he was expecting…

After some unsettling news brought to them by an unexpected messenger, Prince Edgar fled the Raid Dungeon to hurry back to his kingdom, leaving Derek as the impromptu leader. Being concerned about his people on the outside, Derek chose to rule with an iron fist to finish the dungeon as soon as possible. This choice didn’t make him any friends, but he didn’t need any for it to work.

By taking the strongest to battle, he was able to lead the remaining party members to a successful dungeon completion, though, not without casualty. Things are never easy. On their way out of the dungeon, Derek and Silvi were abducted by a strange elf of unknown power. This man, known only as Dave, was strangely helpful and shared much of Derek’s own distaste of the system interference that had been occurring ever since his evolution. Now, with more questions than ever before, and answers to questions that he’d never thought to ask, Derek and Silvi head back to Savannah to lend their help. What has happened to Cydaria? Was Edgar and Lyra leaving the raid the correct decision? Did Cydaria even need the prince’s help? What does dragon taste like when properly cooked?

Don’t miss the sixth installment of Derek’s journey in the System Universe. Join Derek in this unique combination of the LitRPG, Isekai, and Slice of Life genres. He has friends, a bond that should last forever, and even a home. What more could our overpowered protagonist ask for?

Too much filler and waiting for the next book. Hopefully finally learn more about the different systems.

Boring filler story can’t wait for next

I’m really invested in the story but there are some scenes that take forever to get through that seems to have little to do with the story. It really slows things down. To be fair, the series has been like that most of the way through so it is not new with this book, but it was more noticeable this book.

Great story, but slow progression

This series is a lot like the anime Overlord on Netflix. I have enjoyed it very much. The narrator has worked a lot on his voices over the series and that was a plus for me too. first one was a bit rough but he's dialed in now.

Overlord like

What is next? Cooking, battling, leveling up or all of the above. No matter what Derrick and Silvy are up to the task

Reminded me of Robinhood

I like OP characters and get that it comes with the territory, but this entire book was away too stilted with the MC turning into super Mary Sue. They're were zero complications in anything that happened and barely any conflict despite it supposedly being a "war". again, I get that it's what I signed up for, but I constantly doing myself rolling my eyes at events and dialogue and the ever perfection that is Derrick Hunt. anyway, I'm still continuing for now.

This book essentially just confirmed that the MC is op and nothing can stop him. Not a lot else happened, not even world building.

Filler

this one was decent it seemed to be a filler book mostly just taking care of loose ends and making new connections to some stronger more knowledgeable characters with in Derrics reach and starting a way for him to meet up again with his old system and the ppl from it

seems to promote good battles to come
