Story
Adam Cortinas may be gorgeous, but he's made it clear he can't stand Olivia - and the feeling is 100 percent mutual. Too bad, because these two coworkers are stuck with each other for the next week. When their travel plans go horribly awry, Olivia finds herself stranded in the middle of nowhere with Adam, a.k.a. the bane of her existence. He's in her space and in her head. All the forced proximity is driving Olivia insane. That's the only explanation for these feelings she's suddenly having. But it doesn't change anything. They still hate each other. Right?

DNF Author is Clueless, Main Character is Annoying
Reviewed: 06-05-23
The character kept going on and on about being short, while it was clearly stated that she's 5'3" which is literally only 1 inch shorter than average for a woman. As a person who is actually short, I don't even have half of the problems she claims that the character has due to this. It got so annoying that it was constantly being brought up.

Nice Story with Some More Serious Undertones
Reviewed: 10-25-21
Side note: Andi and Zach were great as always, but she kept saying the word "empanada" wrong. There's no "ñ" in the "nada" part and it seems so minor, but it completely took me out of the whole story. 😕
Anyway, it was a solid story with good flow and the characters didn't get together too unbelievably fast. I liked how it tied in with the previous book and I thought that the occupational details were well incorporated into the character development; I even cried a few times at the more intense parts.
I would like to warn, if you're a person with a lot of anxiety surrounding anything existential/involving the trauma of loss, maybe sit this one out; it's a regular occurrence in the book given the background of the female lead and the occupations of both main characters.

A Little Eh
Reviewed: 11-13-19
During the whole book they can't be together because of the election. You wait the whole book to find out the outcome of the election. It ends while they're watching the results before they tell you the outcome. Can you say disappointing?
Also, I wasn't a big fan of the main character. They kept saying she wasn't spoiled and entitled despite her upbringing, but her inner dialogue didn't really show that in my opinion. Constantly wishing she was in Bali and not working (because her dad got her a job (gotta love nepotism), made her seem unappreciative. I didn't find her very relatable or kind, she also didn't have a lot of depth. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Story
I’m desperate and destitute when Lockwood Construction rolls into my small town with an offer too good to pass up: high wages to any able-bodied man willing to join their crew. Say no more. I throw on baggy clothes, tuck my long hair under a baseball hat, and apply for a job. Unfortunately, my half-baked idea of disguising myself as a guy is flawed from the beginning. As Shakira says, these hips don’t lie. Still, I like to think I might have pulled the whole thing off save for one thing: I know my boss.

A Really Enjoyable Read
Reviewed: 07-13-19
This is one of those books that makes you second guess having given other books five stars. The plot was interesting and there was some nice world building. I love how the book didn't always follow the traditional hero narrative. The performance was really fantastic.
I used to really love young adult science fiction, but sort of fell out of reading any work in the genre because it began to feel too repetitive. Whenever I would start reading (or listening) I would end up bored (or irritated by how unintelligent the characters were) (it bothers me when writers use extreme character stupidity to move a plot forward). That didn't happen with this book. Though Spensa had ups and downs, I thought she was still a relatable and nice main character, as well as a pretty believable teenager. I really enjoyed this story and would sincerely recommend it to anyone who likes young adult science fiction.
I can't wait for the sequel to come out.

It took me a little while to get into this book, but it got better with every listen. I really enjoyed it, though I would have liked a little more world building. There were some nice original twists from the typical shifter fantasy story. I'll be listening to the next one. I have the romance package, so while I enjoyed it, I probably wouldn't recommend using a credit on it.

Tanner's acting career had just begun. He was hotter than the stage lights and twice as captivating. The gorgeous Australian A-lister was everyone's teenage dream. And he'd picked me. Or so I thought, until he proved to be as false as everything else about Hollywood. Now I've finally scored the perfect opportunity to star in a major film. The kicker? Tanner will be my costar. I don't know if I can do this one more time....

A Bit Shallow
Reviewed: 12-06-18
The story was just okay for me; I would have liked if there was a little more depth to the characters.
It seems a bit strange to me that two characters would focus so much on the past, and would become so intimate later, and yet, neither would spare a passing thought to life details that one would typically think about or mention in internal dialogue-- like details pertaining to family/parents/siblings or where they came from. Maybe it's apropo that the character development is superficial, given the connection of the characters to Hollywood, but I couldn't really connect with either of them.
It was an alright romance just for passing the time, but I would recommend saving a credit.

Thirty days ago, my boss, Mr. Wolf of Wall Street, came to me with an offer I couldn't refuse: Sign my name on the dotted line and pretend to be his fiancée for one month. If I agreed, he would let me out of my employment contract with a "very generous" severance package. The rules were pretty simple: No intimate kissing, no actual sex. Just pretend to love each other for the press, even though I've secretly wanted to knock that sexy smirk off his face since the first day we met.

I really loved this book! It's going in my top five favorite audio romances for sure. I even teared up a few times.
The characters were kind and relatable, the problems weren't forced, and the chemistry was great.
I kind of wanted more to happen at the end. If there was a small part two, I would definitely read it.
