A dark, intelligent story, that pulled me right in. I was quickly invested and held in the story. Oh, and the ending! Perfect twist. Well done.

A.P. continues to impress me with his immersive story telling. Much like the first book in series, I was hooked from page one. A.P. gets you right into the action and you just have to keep reading! These stories aren't especially long compared to some of the epics I am used to reading and I am quite enjoying the punchy style this author brings to the table.
I must say, I could listen to Aaron Smith perform all day everyday. his performance has me seeking out other books he has voiced. He is that darn good! This was my first experience with Michela Schulthies and she is also fantastic!
I am now a fan for life and will read whatever A.P writes next!

I enjoyed the wide range of characters in this story. There is so much going on with the character origins and the impeccable way they were performed, this alone would be enough to keep me engaged. The story itself doesn’t disappoint and it is clear the author put her heart and soul into this imaginative story full of magic, conflict and love. I enjoy a good coming of age magical adventure and this one has it all.
