Story
Freshly graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, Veridian Sterling is ready to hang her work in any of the countless New York galleries that are sure to give her a show. The problem is only one will, and they’re not interested in her art so much as her personal assistant skills. No glitz, no glam, and definitely none of the money she needs to help her struggling mother finally realize her dream of starting her own business after having sacrificed everything for Veri to go to art school.

Story
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

Story
When she was sixteen years old, Angela Wong—one of the most popular girls in school—disappeared without a trace. Nobody ever suspected that her best friend, Georgina Shaw, now an executive and rising star at her Seattle pharmaceutical company, was involved in any way. Certainly not Kaiser Brody, who was close with both girls back in high school.

Twisting thriller but warning dv and sa
Reviewed: 01-11-24
Was twisted and good no issue with the story just wanted a warning before hand from other reviews so here is the warning I wanted.
There is domestic violence and sexual assault in this book. It is a heavy part of the story.
Nice twisting thriller.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Really well written and for me an introduction into African mythology. I am excited to learn more. I really liked having the audiobook ended the Kindle book, allowing me to hear the correct pronunciation of names and words that I am unfamiliar with as well as so that I could easily look them up with the help of the Kindle app. This book makes me excited to learn more about African mythology the continent being so vast and full of different stories, as well as to go to follow up with Simi p.

Great read and I am excited to add the book to my personal classroom library, as well as suggest it as a title to be added to the school library. I love the depth of the characters, and the fact that the romance is a part of the story, but there’s a lot of human growth in it, and I think that’s important in a young adult book, especially to show the ever-changing development of characters. .

Story
Isabelle should be blissfully happy - she's about to win the handsome prince. Except Isabelle isn't the beautiful girl who lost the glass slipper and captured the prince's heart. She's the ugly stepsister who cut off her toes to fit into Cinderella's shoe...which is now filling with blood. Isabelle cut away pieces of herself in order to become pretty. Sweet. More like Cinderella. But that only made her mean, jealous, and hollow. Now she has a chance to alter her destiny and prove what ugly stepsisters have always known: it takes more than heartache to break a girl.
