what a rush! I almost loved it all, there were a few areas I didn't love and at one point it felt like the author was adding details just to keep the worst case scenario crowd at bay. having said that I loved the character development and Mr. Wheatons performance, though I would have liked more differences between characters voices. I cannot wait for the movie.

Even with Decker's extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter - a family man with a successful consulting business - and his victim, a schoolteacher.

Amos Decker is a tragic hero. He is brilliant and not unlike a certain wizard who had greatness thrust upon him finds himself at the center of an investigation that only be sees the need for at first. While I did see some of the revelations coming from afar they were so skillfully laid out that I didn't care. The writing is brilliant and character development superb.
The performance was fantastic. Solid.
